Tiny, convenient one-handed operation, and better than Spark Lite version
These are a bit bigger than the Spark Lite versions and have nice rubbery grips, hence much easier to use. These are still vastly smaller than just about any other fire maker, is a one-hand operation, frees other hand to cup or hold tender together. Cheap, tiny, convenient to use, and very effective; no wonder the military uses this style for their personal emergency kits. I switch to these when Spark Lite changed their sparking wheel to a more aggressive tooth, which made them toatally unuseable (they dug into the flint too much and jammed). Maybe Spark Lite changed manufacturers.

Better Than Expect
Small, compact, and lightweight—this fire starter has been a game-changer for me. I've started more fires with this than I ever have with my ferro rods! While I’m not a hardcore outdoorsman, I’m trying to get outside more, and let’s just say I may have gone overboard investing in ferro rods. But I digress. Having one of these in my pocket, along with some cotton balls coated in petroleum jelly, is a foolproof fire-starting combo. It’s incredibly easy to use, and I even tested it while wearing gloves. Although a bit more challenging, it still worked. The sparks are just the right temperature to ignite cotton balls. I also tried it with waxed jute twine—it works but takes a bit longer to catch. I’m not the biggest fan of Bear Grylls or the products under his brand, but I gave this one a shot and was genuinely impressed. Highly recommend it!

Very pleased can't wait to try it out

Tiny, barely sparks
Smaller than my fingers. I tried to light a fire starter until my fingers were tired, nope. Maybe it would be useful for starting gas burners, not much else.

They work BUT
A spent Bic lighter does the same thing

Works - great back up in the outdoors
Nice 2nd or 3rd fire starting option to have in your bag when in the outdoors or backcountry. Can be used to light a stove or a fire if needed. Easy to use, lightweight,

These are ok, like you get a spark, but not a massive one enough to light in anything but bone dry conditions. They are compact though and as a backup plan would be ok.

Virtually impossible to use one handed and no instructions. Cannot use it with two hands a no help on YouTube on how to use it. Received two and one worked and one did not. Wonder if that is why they sent two. Insurance? Unable to print off the return label so I am stuck with it. Lol
