I find this cable has been able to do everything I have thrown at it from transferring data from a high speed portable NVMe enclosure, to acting as a charging cable in a pinch for my S25. The construction of the cable is excellent, I have no doubt it will serve me well way into the future. From running various tests on this cable all of the pins are populated. I find the cable is slightly stiff, but I don't find this to be a bad thing as it isn't overly rigid and this is a good indicator of the gauge of the wiring and the shielding inside for maintaining a high speed connection. I find I have been able to charge my phone, my HP laptop, and anything else I have used this cable with and I have not experienced any issue. I haven't run into a single compatibility issue when using this cable for any task with any of a variety of accessories across both Windows and Mac systems and it has functioned at full speed for any application I have used it for.

This cable is much better and more solid than the one I was previously using for editing photos from my external hard drive. I didn’t realize my old cable was the cause of my connectivity issues and slow transfer speeds. Since switching to this one, everything has been running smoothly and much more reliably. Recommend if you’re experiencing similar problems!

Great cable. Expensive, but you can tell this is made with quality and will last. Great for any really important application or really high speed days need.

I'm using this cable to connect my CalDigit TB4 Element hub to my Macbook Air because the dock-to-computer cable that came with the dock is super short. Even though this is only listed as "Compatible with Thunderbolt 4", everything is working fine. My 4K external monitor, Kanto speakers and printer are all connected to the TS4 using the cable.

Functionally the cable works as expected. High quality. But please get the longer lengths even for shorter runs unless that run is point-to-point straight without any tension. The cable is very thick and relatively rigid. I bought the one foot length because my hub is right next to my computer. The run is shorter than one foot, so the cable bends a bit and puts stress on the connection from cable to laptop, which forced my laptop battery to drain because the connection wasn’t tight enough. A longer run would, ironically, prevent that stress because it could be coiled and the ends more properly positioned. I ended up carefully position everything and it’s been fine, but I do have to be super careful with positioning now.

Purchased this lil guy to connect hard drives in the field. I shoot video for a large corporation. At the end of each shoot, I need to transfer large numbers of large video files from computers and removable cards to other external devices. Your transfer is only as fast and reliable as the cable that connects everything. Connecting devices is a snap. It's only a cable after all. But what about reliability and speed? I've used this on well over a hundred shoots since I bought it. It's been shoved in a camera or computer bag over and over - and here it is still working. It's flexible - withstanding coiling and uncoiling in different temperatures and environments. I can't have cables that fail in a time crunch. This one has served me well, and I recommend it.

Excellent cable! It's stiff, but it has to be to carry that data rate. I've never been disappointed with any Cable Matters cable I've purchased over the years and have never had one fail.

I've had this cable only a couple months, and it already seems to be on its way out. I had an SSD connected to it, and macOS told me multiple times that I was prematurely unplugging the drive. I did no such thing! So I moved the drive and this cable to another port on my MacBook Pro, and it was doing the same thing. I tried another cable of another brand, and no issues. The drive has been connected for a while now using that other cable and performing just fine. I wonder if the stiffness of this cable is the cause. Just like others have written, this cable is ridiculously stiff. Tree branches have more flexibility!
