We just got 3 plus feet of heavy wet snow in May! First thing I did with these socks was stand in the snow with no shoes. They surely keep your feet warm and dry. Then I wore the Stryde socks with my hiking boots as I ran the snow blower for hours. Usually in these wet conditions I would wear my water proof snow boots (which don't give as good support as my hiking boots) because they keep me warmer and dryer. But with the Stryde Hiking Biking Waterproof socks I was able to have the support of my hiking boots and keep warm and dry in deep wet snow. My smart wool socks would have been soaked with perspiration alone. I like that these socks give cushion and extra support. I wear size 9 1/2 to 10 men's shoe and the large size fit me perfectly. These are now my favorite pair of socks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely waterproof *by P***Y on Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2021* These socks passed the overnight waterproof truth test! The first thing I did before wearing them was to fill each sock with water and then propped each sock in its own one quart plastic container with several paper napkins laid in the bottom of both containers. I checked them in the morning and both socks were still full of water and the napkins were dry. I've never had any "waterproof" hiking boots pass any variation of this truth test, but these socks passed.These socks have "revolutionized" both my wet and cold footwear. I'm serious.During rainstorms I wear these socks with closed-toe sandals and my feet stay dry and warm. They have replaced my waterproof hiking boots when I'm puddle jumping around town.But their real value is they have eliminated the cold feet I used to get while cycling in winter.I combine these socks with opened-toe cycling sandals (spd cleats) and one or two pairs of wool socks. The cycling sandals allow me to adjust the width of the straps to accommodate the sock layers. The open-toe sandals don't cram your toes and strangle your feet which causes circulation problems which cause cold feet. I had no idea that cramped feet caused cold feet.It only took me about 40 years of cycling to figure that out.All my Sidi cycling shoes have been retired. I have a summer pair of cycling sandals and a winter pair of cycling sandals that are a size larger in order to handle extra sock layers.The sock/sandal combination is waterproof, windproof and warm.
