Review: Goodbye -well almost ! - If you want comfortable, easy and predictable viewing then this is the series for you ! As the millage and scope for many cases in Cabot Cove diminished the writers had the wisdom to move things more to New York and elsewhere. The premise being that a business often a family one has problems and that murder results.More often than not a friend is in the frame and Jessica Fletcher has to use her deductive powers to save the day. There are a few reminders of the glory days of Cabot Cove as in episode 18 Sheriff Metzger is as usual totally foxed,Dr Hazlett is blowing his top while Jessica's nephew Grady is as naive as ever. Angela Lansbury plays the lead role with considerable aplomb and it is down to her and the galaxy of fine US TV actors that Murder She Wrote endured for so long. You really have the cream of the small-screen acting profession in season 11 and no mistake.Jessica is a latter day Agatha Christie offshoot and the lazy screenplay writers do rehash Christie's plots with alarming regularity. But that said new locations, characters and scenarios do help keep excess staleness at bay.Even if the business & family rivalries in glamorous contexts do seem more Dallas & Dynasty than Miss Marple.Sometimes one is reminded of the US adaptation of Sparkling Cyanide which seemed like an episode of Dallas if Agatha Christie had been doing screenplays for Hagman & co. desertcart are selling this pleasant series of Murder She Wrote for a very good price and if you love a good mystery from TV's comfort zone then this is for you ! Review: In Which Jessica Travels Far and Wide.... - The penultimate Season (11) of T.V.s' Murder She Wrote with Angela Lansbury, playing the deceptively mild mannered mystery writer and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher, does not disappoint. This Season has 21 episodes over 6 discs, presented in a smart case, with 940 minutes of viewing time. Picture quality is very good. A plethora of guest stars in this Season joining Jessica on her travels - never recommended as murder always follows her - as she travels from Cabot Cove as far as Martinique. All good yarns, relaxing viewing and great fun. Recommended for fans of the T.V. series and anyone who enjoys a gentle, well constructed murder mystery with humour and heart and a very likeable protagonist in Jessica. Well packaged with excellent desertcart delivery.

The penultimate season of the long running murder/detective drama TV series
This season of Murder, She Wrote, the eleventh, was the penultimate season of the long running detective drama series, which starred Angela Lansbury as mystery author Jessica Fletcher, who lives in Manhattan and visits Cabot Cove at weekends. There were 21 episodes in the eleventh season, one of which ("Amsterdam Kill") was filmed with the tenth season but didn't air until the eleventh season. The Region 1 set of the eleventh season included two Season 12 episodes as bonus features. Hopefully they will be included in the Region 2 set, as the Region 1 and 2 tenth season sets both included the episode "Amsterdam Kill" as a bonus feature. The 21 episodes (and hopefully the two bonus Season 12 episodes) should appear on the six discs (good to see Universal Playback going back to six discs) like this: Disc 1 - 1. A Nest of Vipers (Season Premiere) 2. Amsterdam Kill 3. To Kill a Legend 4. Death in Hawaii Disc 2 - 5. Dear Deadly 6. The Murder Channel 7. Fatal Paradise 8. Crimson Harvest Disc 3 - 9. Murder by Twos 10. Murder of the Month Club 11. An Egg to Die For 12. The Scent of Murder Disc 4 - 13. Death 'n Denial 14. Murder in High-C 15. Twice Dead 16. Film Flam Disc 5 - 17. Murder a la Mode 18. The Dream Team 19. School for Murder 20. Another Killing in Cork Disc 6 - 21. Game, Set, Murder (Season Finale) Two bonus Season 12 episodes.

Fabulous entertainment
Fabulous. I don't remember seeing this later series here in the U.K. It's real fun spotting the clues in these whodunits and working out who the murderer is. They must be very honest people in Cabot Cove (or whatever location Jessica Fletcher visits) because when the guilty party is caught by the cops at the end of every episode they always own up straight away and tell them why they did it. Mrs Fletcher also tells them exactly how she solved the mystery. This may not be a subtle show, but it is vastly entertaining.

Good value for money
Good value for money. The plots are formulaic: but this is part of the charm of it all. If more than 26 minutes have gone by, you can shout at the TV "Come on, aren't we due for the murder about now?"!!

Jessica does it again
Another 21 episodes of wholesome entertainment for those of us who enjoy a murder mystery without all the gruesome details and psychological twists that seem so popular nowadays. None of these episodes will have you sitting on the edge of your armchair or rushing to the kitchen under the pretence of making coffee ... you will merely be able to sit back and relax as you help Jessica solve the murder in question.

A must for MSW fans
Pretty much the same review for all the MSW's I've purchased. Angela Landsbury, a wonderful actress, just can't help but love her. I've been a fan of MSW since I was in my teens (I'm now in my 40's) and I'm chuffed that I now own each and every Season, along with the feature movies. My 8 year old daughter even enjoys sitting and watching it with me.

Jessica Fletcher Series
I enjoy this DVD, I have always enjoyed this series, they are very entertaining light-hearted, what more can I say, I think there are times in our lives, we wish we had a Jessica Fletcher to help solve our problems, but not Murder, I mean problems we all have in one way or another. Thank you
