Get a shield of protection
I have never used any shielding products before. I was aware that some guitar manufacturers use shielding paint in the pickup and control cavities. I have seen YouTube videos of guitar demos that noted the presence or lack of shielding on particular models. I decided to buy a can to treat some of my guitars. I started with my Epiphone Les Paul Junior Billie Joe Armstrong. I applied three coats to the pickup cavity. I didn't have time to do the control cavity yet. Application was easy. I cleaned the brush with water after each coat. That was nice! Once I reassembled the guitar, I tried it out. I did notice a small reduction in noise. To be fair, the control cavity isn't treated yet, plus the floor lamp next to my amp has a CFL bulb in it. I will give it another try with proper diligence to the details. The shielding paint can holds plenty of product for many electric instruments. It is a good investment for your collection of guitars.

Works great! Easy to use!
I use this instead of the Stew Mac brand to shield the cavities of electronic guitars. Pickups cavities and the electronics cavities on the guitars that I build. This stuff is great. It dries in 30 minutes and you can apply another coat. The Stew Mac shielding paint requires 24 hours of dry time before you can apply another coat. So it works great for one, and you can have the shielding finished in an hour and a half instead of 3 days. I’m not sure about the complaints of it being messy. I’ve never had a problem, and it’s not rocket science to put it on. Just use an arts and crafts paint brush. It’s water soluble so it will wipe right off of your finish with a rag and water. It’s really that easy.

Good Stuff
The lid came off while shipping and got everywhere. As far as I can tell though, it is a good product.

It does the job
I used it to shield the electronic compartments of my electric guitar builds. It's much simpler than lining the compartments with foil shielding. It will prevent your guitar from picking up the local radio station through their amplifier, and cut down the interference and noise.

MESSY MESS - NOW & FOREVER!!!
would have been nice to get a couple of solder flux brushes with it. you WILL need to use some hand soap to get it completely off your hands. i would suggest some neoprene gloves IF you use this MESSY MESS. even after a MONTH this stuff still rubs off on your hands, your guitar EVERYTHING it touches. I will be sticking with copper tape for shielding from now on and will be trying to unload this messy mess of goup to some other sucker..

I was dubious about it's effectiveness in shielding a guitar, the alternative being foil, I can say without hesitation, it 100% works, if this can tame a Dimarzio SDS1 noise levels to zero then that's proof enough for me.I also completely shielded the pickguard with aluminium and added a ground wire to body and vol pot , apparently if this isn't done then the paint is ineffective. Tip, decant it to stir and use, you'll thank me later, I applied three coats as per instructions, I masked the edge of the cavity, if you do get it on the poly around the edge you will find out like I did, it doesn't dry so you will need to give it a wipe, three coats used half a tin .

A little bit seems to go a long way. A tiny spot on your fingernail seems to be capable of covering most of your finger. Use disposable gloves. Went on easy enough with 2 coats. Left to dry for 24 hrs and then a quick spray with clear gloss. Will see how effective its shielding properties are once re wiring is completed.

It works and is fairly easy to apply, but it never really dries and gets EVERYWHERE and it is hard to clean up if it goes on wood If you use for shielding guitar cavities like I did, IT WILL RUIN YOUR WORK, don’t use it

I used this to shield the pickup and control cavities on a fender telecaster, and it completely eliminates 60 cycle hum on clean tones, and renders it nearly imperceptible with overdrive. Just be sure to shake well since it is a suspension of graphite in a liquid, so if you don't shake it, there won't be any graphite on top, so it won't work as well
