Automator Tomato Tray

Liked the drain holes only for water near roots. Not happy cannot use a stake close by nor a tomato cage as support. Doesn’t work well on unlovely ground. Also flimsier plastic; one split in half as I was trying to flex to adjust on I level ground

Great for ONE SEASON use—only. The red plastic gets brittle in the sun .

I purchased tomato plants in 4 inch pots and 1 gallon containers. A little difficult to slip onto these larger plants. After installing I tried to push down the trays into the soil and noticed the sharp edge around the stalk of some plants were cut by this sharp edge.Will have to wait and see if the trays do their thing.

Purchased these to improve my tomato and pepper yield. Installation was a little difficult since my soil was not a fine loam, had lots of clods due to it being quite wet when I tilled. Got them installed, waiting to see if the help increase the yield.The apron on the outer edge that is to be covered with soil could be a little larger.

On a slightly windy day (even with a rock on it), they ripped apart and blew all over my garden. On the positive side, I do like that they help keep the water from splashing on my tomato plant leaves and thus reducing the chances of blight or other common soil borne tomato diseases

From the picture & the theory behind its use it sounds great! I’m the garden around my maters not so much. They pop up, don’t always drain. I’m not removing them because red promotes growth of the tomatoes. Will not use again next year.

Perfect for square-foot gardening. They do a great job of watering slowly and deeply, keeping weeds out, and keeping the foliage dry. I did trim the center hole larger to fit around the stems - I put them around my tomatoes when they were babies, but I could see even then that the hole would not accommodate a full-grown stem. The plastic is easy to cut with scissors.

Reorder the tray from an another order of them and got 12 of them.On this reorder we go 3 tray for $10.00 a tray where we was led to believe we where getting 4 packs of 3 a total of 12. Like last time.What a rip off getting 3 trays for $30.00
