Ive tried the uni sharpener as well as an expensive full brass piece, both of which didn't work at all and got dull almost instantly. Great value for money, worth ordering a few to last you a while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sharpens the Lead and Catches the Dust *by J***N on December 15, 2025* I used to buy these other small lead pointers for 2.0 sized mechanical pencil leads, and they were fine. They were small, and I lost them, so I bought them by the dozen. But, I lose a lot of things, so this is on me. Here is what I like about these lead pointers. I draw with the pencils, which means I need a sharp lead. These produce a needle-sharp point, which is very cool. Further, unlike my previous sharpeners, they catch the graphite shavings, which is also a plus, for two reasons: (1) less mess (2) that collection of graphite powder can be useful in a drawing. I mean, you actually pay for a jar of powdered graphite from an art supplier.
