this is PLASTER, not ceramic
I was searching for an unglazed ceramic diffuser, since oil-filled reed diffusers are now out of the question with our new kitten who likes to climb and bat things around, and this popped up. It was hard to tell what material it is, because a couple of places in the description it says the material is "paper" (???), a couple of places it says "ceramic," and a couple of other places it says "plaster." I chalked it up to language barrier and took a chance. *** It is 100% PLASTER. *** Despite that confusion and that it is not the material I expected, I like this so far. It's pretty. Since it's brand new, it took more than a few drops of my essential oil blend in the center to get the scent to be noticeable (I assume the first few absorbed so deep that I just couldn't smell them), but I put probably 8 or 9 drops total 6 hours ago, and the scent is still quite noticeable. All I want from a passive diffuser is a light scent when I'm actually here in my office, not 24/7 blasting smell permeating the house. It's probably overpriced for a hunk of molded plaster on a wood tray, but it was packaged very well with cut-to-fit foam padding and it was double boxed, so it arrived in great shape. I do appreciate good packaging, and I know that's not cheap. I'm not sure how it will hold up over the long run, being plaster, but we'll find out. If it ends up being a bust, I'll update my review. Since a few other people mentioned the size, the photo shows it in my outstretched palm to give you a sense of it. The lotus flower is about 4 inches across, and the tray is 5 inches square. Summer 2025 UPDATE: This thing is still going strong. I put a few drops in the center every couple of days, and it give a nice light scent throughout my work day. I totally recommend it if that's what you're looking for. I ordered another one for my bedroom.

Simple and elegant design
It's a simple and elegant item that can make a small room smell fresh. I highly recommend if you don't always want to use candles

Cute decor, not super functional
Love this! So cute! I don’t notice much scent wise when I added essential oils, the scent only lasted maybe an hour and that’s if you directly went to go smell it, but it is a cute accent in our spare bedroom!

Perfect for travel, kids room or dorm
These passive diffusers work great! I was skeptical, but the scent diffuses easily and is just as strong in a small room (like a bedroom) as any other diffuser.

Practical way to use Essentials Oils
I recently started using plant therapy products. I love this cute little passive diffuser. It sits on my night table and use it with an essential oil specifically for sinus and breathing at night. The little wooden tray is perfect for protecting my furniture. This would make a cute gift for any lady/girl as it is simple yet practical. Buy it!

Cute Design, But Scent Fades Too Fast
I really wanted to love this. It’s super cute and discreet—perfect for adding a touch of freshness to a bathroom shelf without having a big, bulky air freshener or spray can on display. Unfortunately, the scent just didn’t last. I found myself having to add more oil every single day, which was a bit of a hassle. It looked great, but it just didn’t perform the way I hoped. I ended up returning it and going with something else that’s a bit more low-maintenance.

So disappointing
I wanted to love this but it doesn’t really do anything. I thought it’s size would help me save space in my little office, but you would have to use an extreme amount of oil to actually smell it. These oils being so expensive I can’t make myself pour more than about 10 drops which feels like a lot. It seems to be made well. It might not make noise. Its size is appealing but do yourself a favor and just get the diffuser. The oil content used on the diffuser is not worth it.

Perfect
I tried to cancel this because I was sure I'd regret it. Surprise, I love it. It's very cute and works well as a subtle way to keep nice smells at my desk without spritzing oil all over everything.

I love essential oils, but I have cats and it is not safe to use most essential oils around cats. Most diffusers use a mist and aerosolize the oil and water, which means your pets can breath it in or get it in their fur and lick it off. So I have mostly had to live without using my essential oils - that is, until I found this!! Some people in the comments say the smell doesn't fill the room, but in my experience it does. Depends on the size of the room of course, and how many drops you use. But for my night table I use 2 -3 drops before bed and it's great! In the office where I have it a little further away, I use a few more drops, but I find it works well to fill the space! However you do need to make sure you have a spot that is out of reach of your pets, bit other than that - this thing is amazing! I can use my oils again! Nothing is dispensed in the air in a passive diffuser, so it's pet safe! And it's quite aesthetically pleasing as well! I find it's nice to have on the entrance table, or in a bathroom if you have guests over. You can add a nice, light, inviting scent to the space.

It's a bit bigger than I expected it to be but it still looks lovely.

It is as the others said. This doesn’t diffuse the scent for long. But I’m ok with it as I didn’t want another plug in and it’s more mild this way. Cute design! Better to do this than incense which is too strong for me.
