Works Great
Initial testing good. While not the cheapest option available, it is still quite reasonably priced and seems like a much more professional tool than the lower-priced options I tried. This unit has a relatively compact size, but still has a decent heftiness feel to it - I do not mean that it is heavy, just that it does not feel like a 50 cent plastic toy. Impressively, it comes with a real significant manual written in actual English (and many other languages too) instead of some Chinese gibberish. My one minor complaint is that the manual is just a bit too large to fit into the pocket in the case intended for storage. I solved this by just tearing the 24 page English section off the top of the manual, then folding it in half, but that should not have been necessary. Another notable feature is that the test leads come with tip covers that actually have real value. Instead of just completely covering the tips so that they have to be removed to use the meter at all, these leave the very ends of the tips exposed so that the leads can be used for many basic measurements with the covers left in place (such as a quick battery test). More than just convenience, these have the added value that if you need to measure something in a tight position where you are worried that the normally long and fully exposed tip might short out on something beside you intended measurement point, the lead cover proves extra protection. I'm not sure why most modern test leads come with full plastic covers anyway; what possible protection does a bare metal probe need in storage? The accuracy specs (from the manual) seem to be acceptable for a tool in this price range: DCV +-0.5%, ACV +-0.8%, Current +-2.5%, Resistance +-1.0%

Great meter but terrible test leads
This Kaiweets HT206D clamp multimeter is great - I love it. For $48 it is a best buy. {{It competes well with my several hundred dollars Fluke multimeter. My biggest issue with Fluke is their probes are outrageously priced, but their meters are excellent.}} I have tested all functions, and it works very well. The clamping ammeter is a real plus. This is now my go-to meter for everyday projects. I like the fact that it uses two AAA batteries. I hate rechargeable anything and avoid them like the plague they are –always discharged when you need them most and you need to wait to recharge them. Not this meter – just slip in two new AAA batteries and you are good to go. Half the leads (mainly the fine pointed ones) that come with the meter, however, are crap and so is the optional Kaiweets 23-piece multimeter test lead kit. These have connectivity issues with either high ohms or ohms that continuously jump all over the place. They are held in place via a crimp and the conductivity is awful. The Kaiweets vendor replaced the 23-piece kit for me, but the replacement had the same conductivity issues. Save yourself time and aggravation, get a good lead set for this. I wasted a few weeks thinking the meter was bad when it was bad probes. These are the probes I ultimately settled on as excellent for this Kaiweets clamping multimeter: the Snakol 22-Piece Multimeter Test Lead Kit and the Bionso 25-Piece Multimeter Leads Kit - both at about the same price as the malfunctioning Kaiweets test probe kit. The main difference is the Snakol has longer probe handles which I like. I am using both sets, however. All the probes in these two sets have great conductivity and no issues and they fit the Kaiweets HT206D clamp multimeter. They give stable readings of 0-to-0.1-ohms. The main issue with these, however, is the probes need to be screwed into place with a wrench or needle nose pliers making changing probes more difficult. On the other hand, this is likely why they give such good conductivity. However, you can buy multiple sets so you can permanently set up the probes you use most frequently. Some of the other probes in the set are the plug-in type so they be changed easily and these have excellent conductivity as well. I find these two kits give me all the probes I need and more.

Seems like a good value
First impressions after 2 weeks of use. This meter does almost everything I need. Voltage and resistance readings are spot on. Capacitance readings seem accurate down to 10 pf. AC RMS voltage readings seem accurate. The ability to hold peak readings is a nice feature. The main limitation is current readings. AC current readings seem reasonably accurate (of course you need to place only 1 wire in the clamp. However DC current readings (in the 100 mA range) were inconsistent even after nullify out the stray magnetic fields with the "zero" button. Unfortunately there is no direct way to measure mA currents using the probes. (In one case I just put a 1 ohm resistor in series with the circuit and measured the voltage. As long as the current is less than 1 A, a 1 W resistor should suffice.) The auto power off function is nice, but the only way I found to turn the meter back on is to turn the function knob to "off" and restart. I found the thermocouple useful for checking the temperature of a power resistor. (I had no idea that they could hit 130 C while operating within their rated power!) All in all, I would recommend this unit for an advanced hobbyist.

KAIWEETS Digital Clamp Meter Multimeter = Best Deal On A Useful DC Clamp
The KAIWEETS Digital Clamp Meter Multimeter with D-Shaped Jaw for AC/DC Current & Voltage is about the best deal you're going to find for a DC clamp; there are cheaper AC clamp multimeters but few DC amp clamp meters at this price. This is something you can use in your car without having to dismantle as much wiring as you would in your house. The AC clamp meters on all of these are less useful for the average homeowner because you can only clamp test ONE individual wire at a time, but most wiring is multi wire Romex. Nice meter, nice case, shipped in 1 day. 100% content.

Awesome meter
Excellent multipurpose digital meter. Easy to use. Great display. I used it to check the parasitic battery draw on my car. The clamp on amp meter read below 50 mili amps at times. I found the min/max function to be very useful. The zero reset function is a must when reading current this low. Awesome feature! I wish it had a way of monitoring longer than the auto ten minute shutoff feature which saves the batteries. Right on accuracy with my other digital meter reading DC voltage. I highly recommend this meter.

GOOD and worth it!
This thing works pretty good. It won't catch superfast inrush rise times or anything like that, but will once it starts hitting 100ms+

Works Great
Ordered because I have a customer that wants amperage readings on all his trucks every service. Compared to a $400 Fluke. Readings are identical. Well worth the money! Display is a bit small but readable.

Good deal for the $$$ with a few quirks
Works well, seems to be accurate and reasonably fast in most cases. The build quality is good and it can be operated easily into the various modes with one hand. It has some quirks - mostly not very annoying. Like most clamp meters. it can't be easily propped up to free your hands. If there's no place to clamp it up where I can see the screen, I generally need to lay it down flat. I will probably make a holder for the workbench, though that may not help in the field. I have noticed that the audible continuity mode will beep, briefly stop, and then beep continuously when there's no apparent contact bounce (i.e. an LED connected to the same switch does not blink). A few very common (for me) actions require a long-press, such as zeroing the DC ammeter or switching to proximity detection mode. The UX could be better. I sometime have to cycle through all the ammeter modes because of releasing the "zero" button too soon. Several of the dial settings modes then require pressing a button for the "sub-mode" and my most used modes are not the "default" requiring me to tap a few times. It also seems to lack the ability to do small-current inline measurement (e.g. single-digit milliamps. Such a feature has led to the frying of many meters, which is probably why they didn't include it!). The Hall effect sensor is sensitive, nice and includes the direction of DC current. I do sometimes wish for smaller clamp-arm cross section size, as I work with many tight wiring situations in RVs and sometimes struggle to get a wire far enough out of the bundle of wires. Despite these quirks, it is a good meter and I feel it will give years of good service. The included batteries have not yet died through many hours of use.
