For years we have struggled with contolling the volume of our Sony Audio player connected to our television. Then I wondered if anyone made an IR repeater. The answer was indeed, YES. So I began looking for. Some come with nothing but wires to glue to your devices. Then I saw one that satisfied our needs. It arrived overnight. It had three comonents, a receiver, a USB plug for power, and a transmitter. Perfect. All three were labled - no instructions needed although there were instructions. My wife removed the adhesive from the receiver and placed it on the top of our 80 inch tv. The shee plugged the USB in a spare port and then removed the adhesive from the transmitter and placed it on another corner of our TV. All the wiring is behind the TV. Took us 10 minutes and it works perfectly from 15 feet away. A blue LED lights up steady when a good signal is recived and rapidly blinks if it detects a signal but not strong enough to repeat. I give 5 stars for simplicity, economy, and ease of installation. I would incluide a photo but everything is behind the tv or just poking out where it is barely visable.

I replaced an ancient Harmony remote that used a saucer sized, mains powered IR blaster with a newer programmable remote with the IR transceiver in the front of the remote. It worked fine with our TV, but with an old Roger's cable box in the TV stand was intermittent and often did not work at all. I got this, pushed the cable box to the very back of the cabinet (so it was shielded from sunlight, etc), put the big end of on top of the cabinet right under the TV's IR transceiver, and the little end in the cabinet an inch or so in front of the cable box transceiver -- had to do a bit of research to figure out exactly where that was in the front panel, but once I got it in the right place this completely solved the problem and has been working 100% for months since then. The USB jack in the back of the cable box provides the extender power. Unobtrusive, cheap, simple, and a real sort of life saver.

J’ai acheté ce câble répétiteur de rayon IR après avoir réparé l’alimentation de ma télévision qui avait pris une surcharge. Malheureusement la LED de réception infrarouge était aussi très affaiblie. Il fallait littéralement se coller à l’écran pour changer de chaîne. En solution de contournement, j’ai installé ce câble et positionné l’émetteur juste devant la LED IR de la TV. Résultat : ça fonctionne parfaitement ! Même mieux que la réception d’origine. L’installation est extrêmement simple, cela m’a pris à peine 2 minutes, et le gain en confort est énorme puisque ma télécommande fonctionne dans toute la pièce. Un petit accessoire bien pratique, surtout quand on a une télé dont l’IR ne répond plus comme avant.

Acheté pour relier vidéoprojecteur Sony et pouvoir utiliser une télécommande et ce la fonctionne parfaitement! Très satisfait.
