NETVUE Birdfy Lite- Smart Bird Feeder Camera

I got this for myself with some Christmas money I received as a gift, and it was the best decision! It’s super easy to setup and we’ve already gotten several birds that visit daily. It allows you to share your camera access with up to 20 people. This was one of the reasons that I chose to try the Birdfy. Our parents could no longer maintain their birdfeeders that they loved due to restrictions at their new apartment. The Birdfy allows us to take care of all of the replenishing of birdseed and charging the feeder when necessary, and they can just sit and relax and enjoy the show. Other family members who had not previously had birdfeeders are also really enjoying this, and my brother has already decided to purchase one for himself and his family. So far it has been a great decision. It is really good quality and has been fun for literally all ages. We also have a subscription to the AI bird ID which tells you which kinds of birds are visiting. This is optional and not too expensive, so we decided to try it out. It’s pretty spot on most of the time, although occasionally comes up with mistakes, but it allows you to correct them, which helps the AI learn and become more accurate. Overall, we have truly enjoyed this and would highly recommend it to others. Oh and they added a new feature that allows you to put stickers on the still images which is super cute and fun! It also had infrared for nighttime visits!

Love this Birdfy! It records all kinds of birds to the feeder. It has a lots of fun to watch these Videos. This Birdfy is a good quality product with good battery life and it is easy to set up. The videos quality is pretty good.

I love my Birdfy Camera feeder! The camera resolution is great. Very easy to save & share the videos & stills. Assembly & connectivity is easy. I’ve given two as gifts!

This is why I took off a star, and yes I did check the junk mail folder and searched all my mailboxes for Netvue. Ironically, I did start getting advertising emails from them pretty quickly. Otherwise it's pretty good. I bought a solar panel from a different brand to keep it charged because it was a bit awkward to charge where I have it located every 2 days. I live in the city so don't have a huge variety - Mourning Doves, sparrows, house finches and scrub jays so no need for the ID software. It does provide a lot of entertainment, especially from the Eurasian Collared Doves I have as regular visitors-I call them the goofs because they seem to think nothing of landing on each other and cramming themselves in although 3 at at a time is the maximum (the feeder is between two plants in pots). The feeder is easy to fill - I set it down on some shelving I have on the patio and used the belt to keep it in place. The assembly instructions were OK but minimal instructions for how to set up the camera and oddly the default setting is upside down-that needs to be fixed-another reason for the 4-star rating. Having said that the quality is good, it's easy to wipe off the occasional schmutz that gets on there, and the birds seem to be happy! Update: After stating that 3 is the maximum number of goofs that can fit they surpassed themselves and I think at one point 5 of them were squashed in there! You can record longer videos if you have the sd card installed, you just have to be watching live. I feed them Wagner's Greatest Variety bird food after a lot of experimentation in case you were wondering...

We absolutely love NETVUE, as we have other home monitoring devices from them, but we were blow away with the Birdfy by all its innovation, we have 3 of them in the backyard and they attract amazing new birds daily to them. They are very well built and come with everything you need in the box. I love the versatility to mount them in different ways and places. I have one on a tripod that I move around the yard where I want to and the other 2 are mounted, one on a wooden post and the other on a metal post. They came with hose clamps to install easily anywhere on a round pole or post. Also comes with a Velcro like band you can attach to a tree without hurting the tree. The company has really put a lot of effort into the product quality and accessories. The camera is awesome! It can identify the birds through their AI software, it takes multiple pictures and a video when motion is captured. I love that fact I can view my birds from anywhere I’m at, even when I don’t have time I can review them later and I can upload the videos and even send them to friends and family. It comes with a built in white light and an alarm installed, to put extra light on a subject at night and an alarm to run squirrels and raccoons off, comes with sound to hear them live or it’s automatically captured through the videos. I think this product is great for any age and it’s fun for the whole family. Please keep up the great work NETVUE!
