I hesitated to spend so much for a toaster when so many are cheaper than this one, but the build quality made my decision. Just compare the weight of this toaster vs. other cheaper toasters that weigh much less. (I also realized that I'd spent about $45 for my old toaster almost 25 years ago). This looks sharp sitting out on our counter and it's solidly built. It perfectly toasts our white or rye bread in 2 minutes on a setting of just slightly above 3. The white finish on the sides is a very pretty pearl type paint. We are totally happy with it so far. Review: handsome but useless - first off ,was instructed to remove sticky label from top of toaster before using. Impossible to completely remove sticky substance under label . Neitehr detergent , water nor nail polish remover worked. Housing became too hot to remove toast without burning fingers as toast not sufficiently elevated above top when done. NYC ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not any better quality then cheaper brands *by S***R on February 14, 2014* This toaster is very cute but does not come with cover featured in picture. I returned mine because on a lower setting of 2 one side was correct and other side was burned. I never did test bagel or other features, just felt it wasn't worth the big money for being cute. Also to those looking for a White/White toaster this one is slightly creamy white and not bright white like Cuisinart.
