Bought this to help with making breakfast sandwiches. It works just as intended. I can put the egg in to cook without having to stand guard with it which gives me about 6-7 more minutes in an already rushed morning to do other tasks while it cooks. The cooked egg can be used with bagels, English muffins, biscuits. I have not had great luck with egg rings for cooking breakfast sandwich eggs so I really appreciate this little machine because of it’s simplicity. Small compact size also makes for easy storage.

This item is worth every dollar it cost! I will definitely buy again as a gift. Eggs taste wonderful , works silently and it's so easy to use, I no longer dread making an egg that cooks fast and perfect.

I took a chance on this little gem. I liked the concept, read the reviews, and the best part is it was on sale at the time. At the very worst, I took a chance on an appliance that didn't work for me, for the price of Mendocino Farms sandwich. Even my girlfriend thought I was wasting my money when I bought it. But... what a pleasant surprise! Not only does it make a beautifully cooked egg the way she likes it, I can confidently make it the same way each time! My girlfriend now concedes it was a great purchase, and I get a smile and a "Good boooooy!" from her every time! ;-) Now.... a couple things to be aware of just to help maximize your enjoyment of it: In the beginning, there was a slightly strange smell emanating from the unit, but don't freak out. Probably the smell of the unit's components heating up for the first time, I'm not sure. That will eventually go away. I've used this about 10 times now, so yea, the smell is gone. You need to experiment a bit with each setting. Don't take the setting descriptions as gospel, but as a helpful marker as to cooking time. For instance, the number one setting cooks the egg the least amount of time. If you leave it in the cooker too long after the timer dings, it will continue cooking the egg more. The cooker will still be hot and continue cooking the egg to a point. Also, if the unit is already hot because you "preheated it" or had already made one egg, it will alter the expected results at well. So, you will need to experiment a bit to dial in how it handles cooking and make some notes. Other than that, it's everything everyone else raves about it - compact, easy to use, easy to clean, egg comes out great. I was going to take a photo of the finished egg, but why? It would just look like the other photos already in the reviews. I love the spatula that comes with it. I would love to see them include an oil brush or clever oil dispenser as well, so I'm not always having to use a paper towel to spread out the cooking oil on the surface. Also, a dual unit would be awesome! But, when it's on sale, just buy two - or more. Ok, the unit just chimed - time for breakfast!

Best invention ever! Super easy to cook eggs and make them perfect every time. Where has this been my whole life??! I’ve already bought two in the last month. I love them so much.

Our family loves this little egg cooker! Even our youngest at 10 years old can make his own egg and toast meal. The instructions are very easy to understand and it is very easy to clean. Definitely recommend for a convenient and easy way to cook an egg. We love the little spatula that comes with it!

Makes a perfect fried egg, as others have mentioned, they should have a 2 egg model.... Seems to be well built, substantial weight and I like the beep when egg is done, cuz it will keep cooking if left in there. The reason for 4 stars is because of the cost, should be $20 cheaper...

While a fried egg is arguably one of the simplest things conceivably to cook, I find myself avoiding cooking them more often than not just because I don't want to deal with the skillet and clean up. This little gadget is fantastic because it takes all the fuss out of it. A little oil, a cracked egg and a button press, and I can walk away and do other odds and ends around the house while it cooks. I'd argue the setting descriptions listed aren't quite accurate, and I wish there was a setting between sunny side up and the 1/2 runny egg. Sunny Side Up turned out a little under done for my tastes, and the 1/2 runny is a little more done than I like, but I've found the 1/2 runny to be the best fit for my tastes given the options. Perhaps instead of the selectable "programs" a doneness slider to determine cook time might be a better way to go. But I digress, that's the most minor of complaints, and overall I really love this little gadget. I think it's going to help me introduce a lot more eggs into my diet.

This fried egg cooker made really great looking/tasting eggs!....And without the mess. Nice that it heats up a little, so that the 2d egg can cook at a lower time with lower button. Like it with a lid as well because then the top of eggs cook and not runny whites. Cleaning is very efficient as well.
