What size action figures work best with this vehicle?

I would think like GI Joe size guys would work best.

Can anyone tell me how big the gyrosphere is, please? TIA

This gyrosphere is very small and fits in the back of the vehicle.

Has anyone figured out how to keep the front latch closed? So annoying it doesnt function as intended

I own this product, and I figured that the way to keep the front escape latch closed is by pushing the top-most section where the windshield-like opening with the "wire" framed window firmly on the two sides until it clicks shut. I hope this helps!
