These cards are great for a beginner like me! They are so easy to use and reference as I learn chess. I treat them like flash cards so I can memorize openings.

I was looking for a simple card deck that I could use to learn different chess openers and other aspects of the game. I wanted to be able to pick a card out each day and study it. This fit the bill. The quality is great and I love all the information that's packed on to each card. I was surprised at how large the deck is and it's not a typical deck of playing cards in terms of size. Which is totally fine by me and I can see myself using this in our chess club. Personally, if there was a smaller deck available I would prefer the even smaller size. Honestly, I'm very happy with the quality and the thoughtful design and information on each of the cards. It's a nice change from thick chess books and great to have for bite size lessons.

It was a gift for my 12 year old grandson. He loved it! Perfect for improving his chess skills.
