When I tried wrapping my right arm up under the pillow (kind of like you're holding it underneath), I slept like a baby and had no numbness. It might take a couple of nights to figure out what works for you. **Q: I have major problems sleeping on my side do to a torn rotator cuff, does this take pressure off of your shoulder?** A: How can I answer this correctly. This pillow helps all the way around. It helped me with my shoulder problem. But when I had it bad, only sleeping on my back helped. Having said all this, i do love my pillow period. These pillows help keep your body aligned. Flat pillows definitely want give you the support you need.
