This is a composite. It has 1 top layer of coated sheet metal, a middle layer of thermo plastic core and another outer layer of sheet metal. Its not made for bending because you would have to apply heat to the inner plastic core if you wanted it to bend even if then. If your looking for a lite sturdy surface with tough coated metal then this is perfect. I found no warping and is a perfect working surface. I use mine for a laser engraving table. I recommend this material very highly.
