My dog scratches the door to get in no matter what I do to try to teach him differently. I researched online and found Soft Claws as a possible solution so thought I'd give them a try. Amazon had them at a great price and speedy shipping so I got them. I read where some people had taken their pets to groomers to have the tips applied, but the package said it could be done "at home" so I gave it a try. Though my daughter tried to help, I really did it by myself. I put all the tips on the dog while holding him to get him sized properly and then one by one I filled the tip 1/3 full with glue and applied the tip. My dog isn't one to like being held or groomed but somehow it sat through this process. When finished I put him down expecting them to all fall off. At first he walked funny (just for a minute) and then he was fine. He tried to chew/lick them, but stopped that, too. He ran through the house, went outside, and I heard scratching at the door. I just knew he'd come back in with the tips gone. Not one had fallen off. Because of that, I'm impressed. He still scratches, but the tips are soft so it won't damage the door. Wish I'd found them a few years ago!!

Prompt shipping. Application was easy for both me and the dog. Perhaps this is because my little guy is accustomed to being handled by the paw. He's walking around the house with no apparent discomfort and the nail caps seem to stay on with light walking. We will have to see how they hold up to intense running on rough surfaces and grass. There are plenty of applicator tips included, as well as two small bottles of the application adhesive and, I think 40 nail caps will be enough to last until the dog's natural nails regrow. Unless you want your dog to show off some hot pink nails, I'd go for the natural (transparent) color set. So five stars for the easy application. Now we will have to see if the caps stay on!

This seller was great! Quick delivery but the product sucks. My dog cried within minutes of walking around and I only did one paw to see what he would do. he started to try and bite them off and would stand up. I couldn't torture him so I took it off. Wouldn't waste my money on it if your dog is not accustomed to new things.

Dogs weren't crazy about getting their nails done but it sure cuts done on their claws coming through the pant legs.

I have used a similar product for cats in the past and been happy with results. I have a 9 week old Great Dane who is 14 lbs. I ordered the size fit 10-15 lb dogs. Um, yeah maybe in another couple months. These are way too big. I expected them to be small if anything. And if course I can't really return then because you have to open all packaging to see the size against a claw. I guess when he's 45 lbs they might fit. Fortunately, he is growing fast.

This brand seems more durable than other ones that I've purchased. This brand comes in Jumbo, which fits our pit bull mix who is 65 lbs. My husband and I just spent $7,000 refinishing our wood floors, and the claw caps are amazing at preventing scratches from our 3 dogs. This product lasts about 5 weeks on our big dog. There is a trick to removing the old caps that wear through on the bottom. I use a cuticle cutting tool, and just push one prong down between the nail and the cap. It breaks the crazy glue and the "V" part cuts through the nail cap. It probably takes about 10-15 min to remove all the old caps. Then, maybe 20 minutes to put new ones on. This product is thicker, so there definitely is a more pronounced "tapping" when my dog walks on the floor. The cheaper/softer brands are pretty quiet - but they wear out quicker.

I received these today thinking that they would fit my 68lb. dog. Nowhere does this ad state that these are for dogs 10-15lbs. The ad just states the size of the soft claws (10mm x 6mm), which just happens to be about the size of my dogs claws. However, the size is the OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS of the product and not the dimensions that would fit the dogs claws. When I received the product in the mail the packaging clearly states they are for dogs 10-15lbs...........so ya think whoever wrote this ad would of had brains enough to state that in the ad! So I rate this product one star based on the misleading and incomplete ad description. Update: This is a real standup seller. They said that Amazon did not post there sizing chart for these soft claws and so gave me a full refund including the shipping, so I am giving them 4 stars. But the you, the buyer, still must pay attention to what size soft claws you need and read the ad and look at the sizing chart very closely. Amazon has supposedly posted a sizing chart. Mein Hund hatte eine Blase im Rückenmark. Trotz OP haben seine Nerven einen Schaden behalten. Daher schleift er mit den Hinterpfötchen und seine Nägel teilweise bis zur Haut runter. Durch Zufall bin ich auf das Thema Krallenkappen aufmerksam geworden. Meine Hundephysiotherapeutin half mir die richtigen zu finden. Größe M passt bei meinem Hund nicht optimal, S war zu klein. Die Lösung ist denkbar einfach gewesen: ich habe die Krallen oben etwas rund abgeschnitten und geschaut, wie viel ab muss. So sitzen sie super auf dem Nagel, stechen nicht ins Nagelbett (durchs Kürzen). Sie halten super. Einzig beim Laufen, da mein Hund ja schleift, schleift er die krallen runter. Seine echten Nägel drunter, können wachsen und bleiben von seinem Gangbild verschont. Die Lebensqualität ist um einiges besser und auch mein Wohlfühlen ist gestiegen, weil ich weiß, dass sich mein Hund nicht mehr blutig läuft / schleift. Eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung!!! Ich habe bereits nachbestellt.

Ich nutze es aus Gesundheitlichen Gründen meiner Jack Russell Hündin, die durch einen Bandscheibenvorfall hinten links gelähmt war und dann das Bein mehr und mehr nutzen konnte und das Bein noch geschliffen hat, so dass die krallen komplett runter und blutig waren. Mit den soft claws sind die krallen geschützt, sie läuft sehr viel besser damit und auch besser als mit Schuhen!!! Sie steht besser und fester auf ihrem ganzen Fuß! Sie rutscht auf Holzfussboden nicht mehr!!! Anwendung ist gut, nur das ablösen bzw. Auswechseln der soft claws ist nicht immer so einfach, weil der kleber sich nicht immer gut löst, deswegen kann es etwas schwierig sein bzw. Auch für den Hund etwas unangenehm! Halten tun sie durch den kleber bombenfest. Ich empfehle es aus Gesundheitlichen Gründen!!!

Mein Hund schliff sich die Krallen aufgrund der Folgeerscheinung nach dem Bandscheibenvorfall. Dies hat sie als einziges wirklich einwandfrei akzeptiert.

Mein Hund hat durch einen Bandscheibenvorfall Probleme seine Pfoten zu heben und hatte sich die Krallen schon sehr weit abgewetzt. Die soft claws halten auch auf den kurzen Krallen sehr gut. Bei uns werden sie sehr stark beansprucht sind daher relativ schnell wieder ab. Sie halten bei uns ca. 1-2 Wochen (viele Laufversuche auf Asphalt und Pflaster…) aber bin trotzdem zufrieden. Die Krallen werden geschont und bekommen Zeit zum nachwachsen. Besser als sperrige Schuhe.
