A real win in terms of audio, and a nice piece of equipment to have in your home.
After buying (and being disappointed by) a portable BT speaker for my wife's use, I decided that we really could use something that could fill up more of the house when we were using it. We have an Airport express hooked up to our stereo, but it's unreliable and requires iTunes or an Apple device. I've had Audioengine A2+ speakers for my main computer already, so these were an easy choice. For the price I really don't think you'll find something with more sound. Yes, you're limited by how much bass these can produce (and it may surprise you just how much these can) and stereo separation is limited, but that should be pretty obvious when choosing this kind of device. Though limited, the bass is plenty sufficient for the types of music we listen to most frequently (classical, world music, show tunes, rock). It fills up the first floor of our house without going anywhere near the upper levels of volume. I think the audio quality is exceptional (again, given the parameters of the device) and has increased the amount of music that's playing in our house all the time, which is one of my goals in having the device. I've even used it when I've needed to give a vocal performance and wasn't sure if there was going to be an audio device on site that could play an accompaniment track with sufficient quality and volume and it worked wonderfully! Coming from the background of having and loving the A2+s I knew that I'd be satisfied by the sound of the B2. The other key consideration since it primarily sits in our dining room (when I'm not lugging it around with me!) is that it works as part of the furniture. The subdued styling, especially with the mesh grill on it really make it blend in with the environment. The only time it's noticeable as a device is when the antenna is sticking straight up, and even then it blends in. So much less an eyesore than most BT speakers or other devices. Upon very close inspection you can tell the finish is a laminate, but it still looks nice even when you're close enough to notice it. It's got a good weight and the mesh snaps on securely. The light on the rear isn't noticeable unless you've got your head behind the device to see it. The BT pairs easily and rapidly with a variety of devices. I have noticed that if you just turn off your BT without unpairing it takes a while before it can be paired again, but that's only been an issue when we're taking turns playing songs from it. It's far more reliable and versatile than the Airport equipment we have. The range is sufficient such that you can go anywhere on the floor or even up the stairs as long as you don't go to the extreme opposite end of the house. It gets used nearly daily in our house, and that's more than I can say for just about any other piece of electronics.

Excellent sound if set up properly
Well, I'm an audiophile with a $30,000 dedicated stereo system in a dedicated room and have written many in-depth reviews of high-end audio equipment for a premier review site. I find the negative reviews of this speaker unfortunate as this speaker is capable of very satisfying and high quality sound, but like most higher quality audio products it requires a little more effort to get the best out of it. Specifically, for starters you want to play some music through it for at least 50 hours before making any assessments of its sound. This is because right out of the box the drivers will be stiff and need to loosen up before they will sound as designed, and the internal electronics inside the speaker also need to burn in. Next, especially if the speaker will often be situated below ear height (but even if not) I'd highly recommend purchasing the associated ADS1 speaker "stands" as they aim the tweeters more toward your ears, which is critical as the high frequency sound from tweeters is highly directional and could be significantly compromised/decreased if your ears are well above or below the tweeters' axis. Secondly and also importantly, the rubber stands do a good job of damping vibrations between the speaker and whatever surface it's on, which improves bass tightness and evenness as well as overall imaging. These details may explain many of the reviews that found the B2 to be bass heavy or mushy sounding. Oh, and while we're on this topic, if sound quality is important and you want to hear the B2 at its best, REMOVE THE GRILL WHEN LISTENING. It blocks the sound -- especially the treble -- when it's on. The grill is more for protecting the drivers from prying fingers when not in use. THIS NEXT PIECE IS CRITICAL. The B2 is a pretty revealing of whatever quality is fed into it precisely because it uses higher quality components than most other products in this class. Many other competitors boost bass and lower mids and attenuate upper treble so basically all music will sound the same through it. They'll never sound accurate or great, but they'll pretty much always sound appealing no matter what's fed into them. If that's what you're after, the B2 may not be for you. But there's something most people ignore that can make the B2 sound significantly better than almost all of the others. In your phone or whatever you're using for a sound source you can go into the audio settings and choose from several preset equalization options usually labelled "Jazz," "Rock," etc. These settings vary the sound you'll hear greatly, so it's critical you at least go through them with some of your music to find the one or two that sound best to you. The B2 will reward you substantially for your effort with likely significantly improved sound. Even better, if your phone, tablet, or whatever has an option called "Equalizer" or the like you may have the ability to customize the sound you hear to your specific preferences (rather than being limited to the above preset options) by giving you the ability to adjust individual frequencies from the low bass up through the midrange and up to the high treble. Don't worry, this is easy and if you take some time to play with it and you'll likely find a personal setting you prefer to any of the preset options. That's what I did and the B2 rewarded with very well balanced and pleasing sound that greatly surpassed most other wireless speakers I've heard. If it at all helps get you started with this, a good curve to start with would look something like a small letters "nr" next to each other with the lowest bass frequency starting at the midline and rising a little before decreasing to the midline in the midrange and then increasing back up again and leveling off at the highest treble a good bit above the midline. You'll see what I mean once you're in the equalizer. Again, if you put some effort in at the beginning the B2 has the resolution and refinement to produce very nice sound. Basically, garbage in garbage out. The B2 will let you hear it either way. Don't be afraid to play around with it to ultimately find what sounds best to you. Lastly, there were some comments about the B2 sounding narrow unless you're sitting in front of it. I had the B2 out in a field while we played a waffle ball game and the sound does get compromised if you move off axis as it does with many high-end speakers. To mitigate this I turned the B2 up on its narrow end, and the sound literally filled the whole field with more than adequate volume and even decent bass. If you have the B2 in a larger space or in a party type situation you might want to try this if placement allows. By the way, I left the B2's volume controller on the rear at the mid level permanently and adjusted volume from my phone, and the speaker was always plenty loud enough so that's what I recommend doing. Sorry for the length of this post, but especially if you're willing to follow the steps above (or even if you're not) the B2 is a very well made and great sounding speaker that will reward you more than most competitors out there.

Sounds incredible, but BT pairing/power settings are infuriating
This sounds every bit as good as others have said, so I won't repeat that, and instead share something new. When not being used, it puts itself in an infuriating “low power” mode where it won't automatically reconnect to Bluetooth unless you manually power the box off and on again. So if you want to use your wireless speaker that's on a bookshelf across the room, you'll have to GO across the room first, turn the box off and back on, just to begin using it. I hate this “feature” so much, that I wound up buying a remote controlled AC outlet, just so I can turn the device off from afar, and then turn it back on right before I want to use it. A switched outlet would also work, assuming you have a switch and an outlet conveniently placed. But this is ridiculous. That all said, yes, it does sound incredible though. That's why it gets to keep four stars. But it would've had 5, if it could've just stayed fully active and ready to play at a moment's notice while powered on (it has a physical rocker on/off switch, btw) instead of this stupid “low power” unfindable mode it goes into.

Beautiful design — Good sound
I was looking for a bluetooth speaker that also has an analog wire connection option. And most importantly, I wanted the unit to look good. Most bluetooth speakers have the most obnoxious designs. This piece is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The sound is good. It’s limited by its size, but for its size it has a very good sound—good low end and decent stereo spread. And very simple user interface. Bluetooth paired immediately. Nice to have a 3.5 backup too—and it actually comes with a 3.5 cable! Opening the box was like opening an Apple product. Cool boxing, and nice microfiber bags around the equipment. I applaud the makers for having good taste and good sense. Only after a long search through many ugly products did I come across this beauty.

Considering their size I love the sound
First I must emphatically state that I am not an audiophile so take my review with a grain of salt. After a lot of research I landed on this as a cheaper alternative to the Marshall Stanmore. Out of the box I felt vocals and sounds in general felt muddy and distant. But I know speakers take time to work in so I was willing to let them burn in for a few weeks before making a decision to return or keep them. I've used the speakers 4-6 times a week for 3 weeks now and have left them playing for extended periods of time. I don't know if it's just mr becoming acclimated to the sound, or of the speakers have shifted in tone substantially, but now I find the sound very clear with no muddiness. Considering their size I love the sound. Another bonus is the blue tooth range. This speaker has an antenna that extends the range to where I can keep my phone with me and go upstairs without the speaker losing connection. It also can get quite loud, I typically listen at 1/4 volume. Going to 1/2 volume is way too loud so it seems to go to a full 11 on the dial. If you buy it, be willing to use it for a few weeks to let the sound develop before deciding if you want to keep it.

Excellent mini stereo !
Really full sound with clarity and stereo separation for a small unit… best I have experienced so far. Only issues- it would be nice if an led power indicator was visible from the front because it with auto off after a period of time you can’t tell if it’s on or off without checking your blue tooth connection or looking at the units backside. Otherwise… it’s seems very well built with impressive sound. The wood finish is top notch.

Great Speakers for Wireless Apple Mac Mini M4
Always was a big fan of Audio Engine. Purchased these to save some space and to use the bluetooth functionality to connect to the new Apple Mac Mini M4. Great sound in a compact design. Slight buzz/noise from speaker when nothing is playing but not a annoyance since I only turn them on when I use them and also having the volume control behind the speaker can be annoying but since I set it up half way and just use the Mac Mini volume control from the desktop this is no problem. Other the the 2 small annoyances I differently recommend this speaker if your looking for a compact space saving design with good audio.

Sound quality is absolute trash. Speakers sound blown out and not loud at the same time.
unboxed, looked clean and nice, bluetooth paring went smoothly, played a track on spotify and it sounded like blown out garbage. Tried a different phone, same result. Brought my bose soundlink from the garage and played the same track on the same phones--gorgeous. 100$ difference between these two devices. Dont waste your money with this absolute garbage.

Grande style a prezzo ragionevole
Bello il design, dal vivo rende forse un pò meno, ma in ogni caso ottimo acquisto. Peccato per la spedizione, al primo tentatito non hanno trovato il custode che invece fa H24 e che ha ricevuto tanti altri pacchi.

I wasn't disappointed.
High quality sound and very well made and stylish bluetooth speaker. I also bought the audioengine A5+ speakers on the back of how impressed I was with this speaker. I wasn't disappointed.

Klein, fein perfekt!
