Simple to use and low cost
For the price, this item has worked extremely well for our needs. We recently had to move my 88 yo mother into our home due to a fall and declining health. We have a large home and she stays in our lower level, so I had concerns that I may not hear her if she needed help - especially at night. I also use it if I need to leave her alone in the house for a short time - she can press the button and it will send a notification to my phone. It does NOT provide for any voice communication - only to notify me she needs help. This allows for me to either call her, return home, or call 911 if needed. I was able to send an invitation to share the app to other family members as well - so they also are notified. I created a group text thread for my daughter and 2 sisters who sometimes help with her care. We use the thread to communicate if there is an alert and how itโs being addressed. The app is very simple to use - the primary user creates the account and shares the account login with the other users. We test this every few weeks to make sure the app is working properly. We do get a few false alerts occasionally if she presses by accident. Not a big deal. Our home is quite large and we have no problem with range from pendant to receiver. PROS: affordable, alerts to cell phone, donโt need landline - just WiFi and your normal cell service to receive alerts, can share to multiple users, audible alerts to a receiver in the home that can be moved easily to other rooms, pendants are light and easy to wear, pendants use batteries and donโt need charging. Range is very good. CONS: Will not detect falls, no voice communication on alert, will not alert EMS, expect a few accidental alerts.

Perfect for elderly parents.
We purchased this for our elderly mother in-law. She lives in the basement apartment of my sons home. She has started having balance issues and has fallen a couple of times. She wears this around her neck and can press the button for help if needed. Sends an alarm to the unit in my son's home and will page their phone if they are away from home. Great product, easy setup no monthly monitoring fee. They also make one that can be worn as a watch. My brother purchased that one for my 90 year old Dad.

Decent product but the watch doesn't work.
The watch does not work at all. But this trap button works and that's what I've been using instead. I guess it gets the job done. I like the capability of hooking it up to the phone.

Wi-fi App
This device works as advertised. I like the fact that via the app, one can change the volume and duration of the alarm. We were looking for a unit that is accessible for deaf caretakers. The fact that Chatthen is able to send a message to a phone was very attractive. When a patient presses the call button, the receiver can sound a alarm for 30 seconds -- which is great for hearing people. Unfortunately, when a message is sent to the phone, the phone vibrates for about 1/2 second. That is not long enough to get someone's attention. The patient would need to push the call button repeatedly (10-20 times) to get the phone to vibrate enough to get the caretaker's attention. To get around this, we will need to subscribe to a monthly service that will call the iphone when the call button is pressed. (The cost on 2/7/2024 is $4 for 20 phone calls.) The vibration of the phone call hopefully should get the attention of the care giver. Note regarding the app: When the vendors state that this device "Only Supports Wi-Fi 2.4GHz," they mean that any device (ie. iphone) setting up or managing the unit needs to be restricted to 2.4. Our wi-fi supports 2.4 and 5 on the same ssid. Yet, we just could not pair to the receiver. It was not until we created an SSID that is restricted to ONLY 2.4 were we successful. Once the unit is set up, the iphone will receive messages on an SSID that supports multiple bandwidths.

Nothing more than a remotely operated doorbell for all practical purposes.
This is not much better than a Bluetooth operated doorbell that can be remotely activated. Requires a home wifi network. To send notifications via text msg, a paid subscription is required.

Must have caregiver tool.
This pager was an excellent investment while I was taking care of my sick grandmother. She was bedridden and she was able to call me at anytime she needed something. The sound was very loud and you can hear it from any place in the house

Have to buy up the call feature
I wanted this to notify multiple people when the alarm is pressed. But to get the phone call feature, it costs about $20 per month. Didnโt expect that. So, I have it just set up with the app. The app seems to work ok but not a very loud notification. Would not have purchased had I known it required the monthly fee.

Works well, it has the in home alarm as well as a smart feature that you can connect to WiFi and it notifies you on your phone.
