Just putting it on her gives her confidence to move more because she knows I can grab the loops if she starts to fall. When she is having a bad day, I grab the belt and help her walk by taking some weight off her bad knee. When she is dizzy from one of her health problems, she feels safe because it has so many loops for me to grab. I use it to help her out of chairs, the car, the toilet, etc. Its very well made and people at the dialysis center are jealous of it. I love how easy the belt snaps on and off, too. Her other gait belt is the old fashioned one that you have to put through the buckle every time and adjust that way. This one can be adjusted, but once you have it at the size you like, it will stay that way.
