Acctim 14217 Labatt LED Silver Alarm Clock

BOUGHT TO REPLACE AN OLD ALARM CLOCK WHICH WAS FAULTY. DID A LOT OF RESEARCH AND FINALLY SETTLED ON THIS ONE. GLAD WE DID AS WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. YES IT IS BRIGHT BUT THAT DOES NOT BOTHER US. WE FIND IT A COMFORTING GLOW. THE NUMBERS ARE BIG AND EASY TO READ. THE CLOCK IT SELF WAS VERY EASY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD TO SET UP. IT IS SET ON A 12 HOUR MODE WHICH I PREFER. WE USE IT ON THE MAINS BUT THERE IS THE FACILITY TO USE A BATTERY IF YOU PREFER. MY DAD WAS EYEING THE CLOCK UP AND COMMENTED ON HOW MUCH HE LIKED IT SO GUESS WHAT HE'S GETTING FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. I AM ALSO BUYING ONE FOR OUR 3 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER AS THE GLOW WILL HELP HER SLEEP AS SHE DOES INSIST ON A SMALL LIGHT ON AT NIGHT. OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT ALARM CLOCK WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR MOST PEOPLE AS LONG AS THEY DON'T MIND THE GLOW WHICH IS ON PAR WITH A CHILD'S NIGHT LIGHT. RECOMMENDED.

You buy a clock like this cause you want a huge display, and this clock doesn't disappoint. The display is big, clear and bright. Yes some people will say it's too bright, but for my mum, the light that shines off it is perfect, it works well as a night light. Just be warned that if you have the clock on a bedside table you could find it too bright as even with your eyes shut you can still see the brightness. The alarm sound isn't that loud, but I guess it would wake up most people. It also has a snooze function by pressing down on the top of the clock. Overall a good clock.

Bought this for my mum (early 60s). She's diabetic and her eye sight isn't the best. At night, like most diabetics, she has to go the loo a few times and needed a clock she could easily read and provided some lighting. Now this clock doesn't have a night light function but the clock is pretty bright and it's exactly what my mum wanted. I would've bought one for myself but I need a clock with day and date functionality as I work shifts and sometimes forget which day of the week it is. The numbers are very big and it can be read from a distance and during the day. Just make sure you have a wall socket near where you want to put it and I generally wouldn't advise putting it right next to your bed as it is bright for a clock.

Clock is quite adequate and easy to operate. Also very clear to see without glasses in the night. Only problem is that the display is too bright and it almost acts as a nightlight, flooding blue light into the bedroom. (I like to sleep in the dark)

I am very pleased with the LED screen on this clock. The numerals are nice and bright and very large making it very easy to see the time in the middle of the night even when you are half asleep. It also doubles very well as a night light but could be a problem for anybody who likes there bedroom to be in total darkness. The Alarm is also very effective and quick and easy to set. It is a bargain at the price and i would highly recommend.

Do not waste your money on this piece of crap. It feels cheap and nasty, the snooze button isn't on the top its on the feet, so seems to be on most of the time from the weight of the clock. Its Way to bright, The Alarm doesn't go off 50% of the time. If there's a power cut the back up battery does nothing and the clock resets to factory setting. Only one alarm not 2 and snooze seems random 1 min 7 min etc. Only thing is nice clear display, but this is 2 bright and blinds you at night and has caused me eye migraines.

I thought is would be great as a bedside clock because the numbers were very large and you could obviously read in the dark. What I hated about this item was that it stated there was a dimmer where you could dimmer the brightness well this dimmer was just a slight adjustment to the extreme brightness of the light. The dimmer should be a lot more powerful. In other words it would not still look like you had BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATIONS in your bedroom.

I really love the large blue display on this clock. Some people have said that the display is too bright at night - I find the blue display gives a cool calming effect in the room. The alarm is loud enough to wake you gently and you can snooze the clock just by gently tapping the top of the unit. The main reason I bought this clock was to be able to read the time at night without having to put on my glasses - the display is certainly large enough to do this. I think this is a great bedside clock, and a great price too.

Gemäß "Produktinformation" wird der Wecker nur nach Deutschland versandt. Insofern bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass er einen deutschen Stecker hat. Umso mehr war ich überrascht, dass dies nicht der Fall ist (UK-Stecker ?). Ein klarer Hinweis auf die "Nichtnutzbarkeit im deutschen Stromkreislauf" hätte mir die kostspielige Rücksendung per Luftpost erspart. Schade um die Arbeit und die Kosten.

Atención antes de comprarlo, el enchufe es Tipo G, BS 1363, Gran Bretaña, Irlanda. No digo que el producto esté mal, pero yo no vi este hecho especificado en la descripción cuando lo compré.

Tiene toma inglesa a la corriente fija sin poder quitar. No funciona con pila únicamente, aparte de ser de 9 V como en la prehistoria.
