It keeps shredding at zipper. Why? Its your original bed n foam .** A: I have had problems with the zipper too, and now can’t find replacement covers. I rigged mine with clasps sewn along the zipper line... guess I’ll have to find another brand that’s similar-other than that-love the bed! **Q: Where does the foam in this bed come from?** A: I am unable to answer that question. That question should be directed to the vendor. **Q: I see that the large size is 9 inches tall including the bolster part, but can anyone tell me how thick just the base foam needs to be?** A: Refer to the comment I left on August 2, 2018. When I purchased the dog bed it included the foam base and the foam in the bolster. The thickness of the foam base measures approximately 4-1/2 to 5" thick. It fills the cover snugly and provides a firm support for my Vizsla.. I have only washed it 2x and the zipper just broke again. If it didn't keep braking we would love it. Our dogs LOVE the bed, and the side bolsters.
