Morrisons Cake Shop Sugar Ring Doughnuts 6 pack

Nice doughnuts, though they do seem to alternate between being dusted with proper sugar and icing sugar. Pro-tip, Morrisons: Proper sugar is the way to dust doughnuts.

Hard, wet and soggy. These could have been used as weapons as they were rock hard. Fed up of the lack of attention from Morrisons pickers.

Very good value £1 for 6. Just over 16p for a doughnut treat. Ordered these twice and each pack was completely different. One pack tasted fried, light and crisp. The other seemed as if they were baked. I’ve also ordered Morrison’s Strawberry and Raspberry doughnuts at different times and I’ve often had a mixture of all 3 in each pack. Almost like a lucky dip. I preferred the fried, they weren’t the best I’ve tasted but not the worst either. The baked however were stodgy and bland with a lot of sugar that covered the cardboard package rather than the doughnuts. Perhaps not such good value. If the recipe has now changed then the baked doughnuts are in need improvement. It may also depend on the bakeries in individual Morrison stores. They could improve and if I see that from other reviews then I may order again but until then I would not recommend.
