Good quality
Showed up damaged beyond repair or usual use, but looks like a great tool! I got their smaller poles and they're working great. Seller was kind enough to both let me keep the damaged one and refund all the money. I will be buying more in the future.

Sturdy telescoping pole highly recommended
Best paint pole I've ever used! I had 2 from Home Depot and 1 from Lowe's all of them were flimsy, broke after minimal use, and didn't have the telescoping. This one is space saving and unique because you can make it any length you want, which is helpful depending on the area you're painting. It screwed on easily and snug to the paint roller I already had. Great value and highly recommended.

Great extension pole
I bought this extension pole to use alongside a can sprayer accessory so that I could spray bug spray on a wasp nest that was near the roof of my two story house. I was very happy with it. It extends from 5 to 12 feet. You extend it by flipping the little switches and extending it how far you need it and then flip the switches back to the lock position. The switches work wonderfully and are quick and easy to use. When filly extended, The pole did have some flex in it, but overall was still sturdy enough for me to get the spray can into position and spray the nest with pretty decent accuracy. When I was done, I was able to quickly set it back to 5 feet for easy storage. I am super satisfied with this product and highly recommend.

Great extension
I’ve used a lot of cheap extension poles over the years, and most of them either wobble like crazy, twist under pressure, or lock so poorly you’re terrified the roller is going to fly off mid-stroke. The Bates telescoping pole is legitimately one of the best budget options I’ve found that doesn’t feel like a total compromise. What I love: • Surprisingly sturdy for the price. Fully extended to 3 feet with a 9-inch roller loaded with paint, there’s only minimal flex (way less than the generic orange ones at the big-box stores). • The twist-lock mechanism actually works. It grips tight and doesn’t slip even when I’m really bearing down on ceilings or high walls. • Lightweight aluminum with a soft, cushioned foam grip that doesn’t get slippery when your hands are sweaty or painty. • Universal threaded tip fits every standard roller frame I own (Purdy, Wooster, Shur-Line, etc.) and also accepts threaded broom handles or dusting attachments if you want to repurpose it. • Extends smoothly from 17 inches to 36 inches, so it’s perfect for reaching 9–10 ft ceilings without a ladder in most rooms.

Great size and very lightweight
I use this at work just about every other day. It has held up very well so far. I was looking for a durable light weight extension pole without the high price tag. I believe I found a winner with this one. I use it primarily for my cleaning attachments, but works well for those quick paint touch ups too. Great all around tool for multiple uses.

Bates-Extension Pole: A Handy Tool with Room for Improvement
In my quest to find a reliable extension pole for various DIY painting jobs around my home, I decided to try the Bates-Extension Pole. A 3 ft telescoping pole with potential for various uses appeared promising. After several uses, however, I find myself somewhere in the middle regarding my overall assessment of the product. It’s a useful tool with some commendable features but also with clear areas that could use some improvement. Firstly, let’s discuss the positives. The Bates-Extension Pole definitely brings value in terms of its telescoping feature. This feature allows for flexibility in length, making it ideal for tackling different painting jobs, whether they involve high ceilings or hard-to-reach areas. It’s a breeze to adjust and lock at the desired length, and the compact design when fully retracted makes it easy to store, which is an added bonus. Another point worth mentioning is its compatibility. This extension pole can attach to most standard paint rollers, making it a versatile tool to have on hand. The attachment and detachment process is relatively smooth, adding to the convenience of this product. However, the Bates-Extension Pole does fall short in a few key areas, which is why I’ve given it a three-star rating. One such area is the build quality. Although it appears sturdy initially, after several uses, I’ve noticed a slight bending when it is fully extended. This can make painting large areas a bit of a challenge, especially when precision is required. Additionally, the grip on the pole could use improvement. It’s a bit too smooth for my liking, making it difficult to hold onto, especially when you’ve been painting for a while and your hands may be a bit sweaty. A rubberized or textured handle could significantly enhance the user experience by ensuring a secure and comfortable grip throughout the painting process. While the pole is indeed light, making it easier to manage for extended periods, the lack of robustness raises concerns about its long-term durability. I suspect that over time and with heavy usage, the issues with bending might become more pronounced. In conclusion, the Bates-Extension Pole is a handy tool with some notable features, especially the telescoping ability and broad compatibility with standard paint rollers. However, the build quality, durability, and grip leave some room for improvement. Therefore, if you’re seeking a tool for light, occasional DIY painting tasks around your home, this could be a practical option. But for more heavy-duty or professional painting jobs, it might be beneficial to consider other options with more robust build quality. I should mention that I was not influenced or paid to provide this review. It is solely based on my personal experience with the product, with the intention of offering prospective buyers an accurate perspective on what they can expect from this extension pole.
