I know there is far more than I will ever research out there, but I was hopeful to find a DAC that would work for my PC listening (I use stereo studio monitors) and could also be a headphone amplifier if possible. I was able to find that and thankfully notice some improvement for sure when listening to what lossless audio I have.I also have the Sony XM3 wireless headphones. By no means any sort of audiophile or gaming headset, but I used this product with an extension cord on it to use the amplifier built into the DAC and they sound great. I frequently use them while working and having that mute button for when the phone rings or something else occurs is a big help.Ultimately it's just nice to have the extension and the mute.
