could never stop listening to this band, amazing

First, I am a big fan of the Allman Brothers. This purchase was my third of this particular CD because I wore out the other two. This version though is different from the others I had owned. Tracks 5 & 8 were the studio album versions on my old CD's. Tracks 5 and 8 are live versions on this newly purchased one where 5, Nobody Knows is from An Evening With and 8, Sailin' Cross the Devil's Sea is from 2nd Set. I like the live versions and but was just used to the studio versions from before. Just note there are differences now if you had previously owned this CD and are purchasing it again.

Mycology is a well-selected single-disc overview of The Allman Brothers Band's surprisingly sturdy tenure with Epic Records. No more, no less. If you're looking for a solid introduction to the band's Epic output, this is the one to get. Simple as that.

A nice "hits" compilation of the later years.

I'm not real familiar with the Allman Brothers' later work. But, this set helps highlight some of their best moments of the nineties. My personal favorite is "No One To Run With". It's just such a great, catchy song, that has some real life meaning.
