These snaps work great and have a strong hold. I suspect that all the negative reviews and installs by "professionals" simply didnt know how to install a ring socket snap. You need a specific tool as well as a snap anvil. It also takes some technique to set them. You can find everything you need by googling it, including videos on how to set the snaps

     The snaps are advertised as being made of brass...but they are not. How do I know? Brass is not magnetic. And these all stick to magnets. False description. Amazon should take it down.
