I lost one of the tips that came with my poles to a grate walkway in Alaska. I use my sticks a lot because of balance and dizziness problems. The sticks are wonderful, but the rubber feet help to prevent divots in wood walkways and floors inside stores. The rubber feet purchased have been used all across Alaska and in the Arizona desert. They stay on well (fit well) and have endure well also.

My trekking poles came with a protective plastic cover that flips open (pole on the right in photo), which is a really weird design choice. Either I'd want the protective caps completely on or completely off, not attached on with a hinge. Nevertheless, one still managed to fall off completely. I wanted protective tips so I could pack the poles in my suitcase without the metal tip damaging anything next to it. While hiking, I rarely use protective tips, as the metal tips grip better in dirt, but they're good to have for rocky terrain, gravel slopes, and wet rocky surfaces. So these won't get heavy use. With heavy use, I can see how the metal tips might wear through these caps. They did fit my poles perfectly and I like that there are 4 in the package so I can keep one in each of my backpacks.
