My daughter needed to record an audition piece with her viola for an audition. It had to be an unedited video recording. The video on our phones was fine but the audio was not up to par. I really needed something I could plug into my phone to supplement the audio. I was not expecting to get this amazing mic for the price. I assembled the stand in 1 min and then you slide the mic in, voila! So easy to get started. The mic comes with every input you would need. Aux cable, charger, audio hook ups. I could have used my converter for a lightning cable but I decided to use my S9 to record. It was the easiest part of this process. We were in a small studio and there was a strings class next to us. I positioned the mic on the piano out of frame but close to her. This microphone picked up every note and every breath of my daughter but was just far away enough that it didn't capture the sound next door. It was awesome, like it targeted her sound. The sound experience was transformed from using the phone audio. When I used the phone audio the sound volume was lower (proximity) and it missed the highs and lows of the notes. There was also a small amount of white noise. The sound with the microphone was rich and comprehensive. I could not believe the sound it was able to produce. Amazing!

I am not a techno-geek and I had a little trouble getting the mic to work the way I wanted. I am creating videos for YouTube featuring me singing karaoke. When I was having problems getting started with the mic I simply contacted the ZealSound folks and they bent over backward to give assistance. They even offered to replace the mic if necessary. Customer service at ZealSound gets an A+ from me. So does the mic. Now, here is the little bit of help I want to pass along to you. I do not use special audio recording software for my videos. Recently, I purchased a Logitech c922 HD webcam. I downloaded the free software from the Logitech site and opened up the Realistic audio program that came installed on my Dell Inspiron desktop computer. I am operating Windows 10 Professional. The Logitech software allows me to choose the mic I want to use (either the one that is aboard the webcam or the one plugged into the Realistic audio software (in this case the ZealSound)). The master volume control is cranked up to the max and the system mic was chosen as the input (the ZealSound). Also, the ZealSound mic volume is cranked to the max. The resulting sound is rich and mellow and sounds like a radio DJ. I am impressed by the quality. Thank you ZealSound for making such a professional quality product available to me for such an amazing price (at the time of purchase I received a 25% discount from ZealSound and free shipping through Amazon Prime. You just can't beat that deal anywhere!!!)

Hooked it up to PC and it was instantly recognized, set as default mic. There is an echo on the sound, and an echo slider on the mic, but I can't tell if it makes any difference. I'm looking for some explanation about the controls on the mic but I see nothing yet. I got this primarily to record trumpet onto the PC but I don't want reverb on the sound. The company website (ZealSound) does not even show this mic in their selection, but there is a contact option, so I'll wait for their answer. Some vids on Youtube seem to talk about this mic tho.

Super amazed by this product I was honestly skeptical about it but decided to give it a try. So i received the item and man blew me away with how good it picks up your voices especially when you get up close and personal. It even picks up sound from another room which is neat. say you want to record more than one person in the room it would do it no sweat. I would of gave it 5* but gave it 4* because my item came defective. I mean just the pop sound diffuser thing it comes with. I don't know the proper name for it so sorry in advance but anyways make sure it screws on well and works well before getting your hopes up as I did. Luckily I was able to find the part at home depot and did not to return the whole thing which I did not want to to do since the microphones was amazing. All in all good product is good. just replace some of the parts with better quality stuff. Hopefully my photo can explain a but better than my words. I had to replace the tiny screw that's inside of the black pop disfuser it was cheap material and replaced it with a better more secure part. Also almost forgot one thing I am an ios device user and it works flawlessly as you can see my little ghetto set up in my photoI am using special edition beats connected to the mic and the aux to my phone. It's rare for me to leave a review but this I had to give props it was only $20-$30 really really good for beginners. Edit: so today is my second time using the microphone and I noticed one thing!!! I changed my 4* to 3* because of the fact that as I was using it to capture my voice when screen recording on my ios device it didn't pick up my voice as clearly and heard ton of static. Yes I turned the volume up yes I tried it with Bluetooth on/ off and it all came back the same. So my guess is this device is only meant to be used for ios with both the aux / headphone jack. It cannot be used with only the aux cable aka 3.5mm aux to lighting cable. I'm going to test it out more once I get home. But for now don't purchase if you want to screen record and not have to carry headphones. You'll have to carry your whole set up to record nice crisp sounds.

Setup: very simple Adustability: the tripod is so cute and super easy to set up Cord Length: more than enough to use it on your workspace Sound Quality: Super. I use it for the Karaoke SM app, and it makes you feel like you are recording in a Studio. Love it. Material: So far, it seems to be very reasonable for the Price. Overall: I never do any reviews for anything I buy; this is the first time. I bought it to use with an iPad for karaoke and didn't have much expectation considering the price. It surpassed my expectations.

I bought this mic a few weeks ago and it works really well! The design looks sleek and modern. I used it for recording songs and the recordings came out sounding very good. But you can not expect any professional-sounding recordings and it isn’t very directed. The packaging is small so it is convenient to take it with you on the road. The mic set up instructions are easy to follow. I am excited to use it to record more songs in the future! Such a good and inexpensive product!

The order came in with a missing cable, but the service was great and i got a replacement unit within a few days. Thanks to the extremely helpful service people. The microphone is very easy to set up and user friendly in operation. I have tried it out and hear a noticeable improvement in sound quality compare to the built-in mic of my earphone. And you can adjust the echo to your comfortable level, and you can connect either to your cellphone or computer, exactly what i wanted. I'm happy with the purchase. I will use it this weekend to record my teaching lessons and might add more comments to the review.

I set this up exactly like what the user manual told me to, my laptop was fully capable with this device and was functioning well. I also tried to troubleshoot input devices on my computer and it still didn't work. I've done tones of soundcheck and other devices as well (including my laptop, phone and DSLR camera, and it doesn't work too. the battery was fully charged, obviously the power was on and the volume was turned all the way up but no sound was recorded (trust me, I got a wave analysis of this through Waveform and Audacity). and the sound quality when connect your computer to the mic and to my headphone was terrible. only the sound from the mic to the headphone was fine. Truly regret

Purachased this product. Performance is below average, Echo effects is non standard. I used Xiaokoa brand, before. It was amazing. Go for Xiaokoa better & cheaper than Zealsound.
