My daughter reads fairly well for her age so she's probably a little farther along than the intended audience for this product but she enjoys playing with it. I find that it's great for reinforcement of skills she's already familiar with as well as those she may struggle with. The parts are rather open ended so it's easy to make up your own games to extend beyond the ones suggested in the manual. Every piece is well made and feels sturdy. My kid really loves the pretend baking aspect of it, too.
