Surprisingly effective in containing sparks
Though I nitially put off by the relatively high price I elected to make this purchase and I was pleasantly surprised by just how effective the Dremel Shield’s was in containing wayward sparks. This should ( for safety reasons alone) be included with all Dremel Rotary Tools!

Essential and I should have got one years ago
This is more useful than I first thought and now that I've used it for a few months I think it should come as standard to protect your eyes and other body parts from small high speed dust and debris.

Should be supplied as standard
I use my Dremel mainly for grinding and cutting, and these generates sparks. This shield enables me to see the work, but prevents sparks flying into my eyes. For this reason, I think it should be supplied with all Dremels for safety. So far it has worked very well, but I do not know how long it will be before the shield becomes scuffed or discoloured and needs to be replaced. The shield comes with a grinding wheel and cutting wheel, which is a nice touch.
