The display is neither too big nor too small, it’s perfect in every way. Compared to our old clock the digits look very smooth. The buttons on the back of the clock for the various settings are clearly visible and easy to use. I really appreciate the adjustable brightness too. That’s probably common now, but it’s a big upgrade for us since our last clock was 30 to 35 years old. Side note: Our clock is on a dresser, not a nightstand. It’s still easy to read without being obnoxiously oversized.

We had a clock like this one for several years and it was placed behind a glass door to our entertainment center. One of the LED segments to a number began to fail on the old clock and we replaced it with this one which is quite similar. It has nice large numbers and a multi-step dimmer so that you can adjust the brightness of the display to your environment. Also, if you use it as a bedroom alarm clock, it has a USB port for charging your mobile phone. The battery backup helps if you lose power. It does a nice job for an inexpensive clock.

While I know most people use only their phones for time, as an "old timer" I do like to have clocks that are easy to see, particularly at night. I am past the time where I use an alarm clock, I like these clocks because they are a simple clock: easy to set, easy to see as it has large numbers and is uncomplicated. I also like that it has the option of a 24 hour clock although most people who see that setting in my house have no idea what time it is! I personally like green numbering, but it does come in additional colors. For an inexpensive clock, this checks all the boxes for what I need.
