Nostalgia is always useful when the current diet of unintelligible lyrics, thin voices and clever digital production mask the true joy of music. Depeche will always have a big Japanese following, Elton John has a big US following but what about us fickle Englanders? Depeche Mode remain one of greatest exporters of 1980/90s and this double CD proves their big credentials so enjoy, enjoy.

This is the definitive Depeche Mode collection that spans the above years.The cds came in a very classy presentation box,which was a surprising bonus.The sound quality of all tracks was excellent."Everything Counts" which was a live version of the original was outstanding.This is a must for all D/M fans both old and new.I know I've become a fan again since listening to these tracks 10/10

Good value

Fantastic service after the wrong CD was supplied in the box set. A replacement box set was dispatched the same day of complaint, and arrived the following day. As an explanation; others have described, SONY have put the wrong tracks on CD1. The sleeve and screen print on the CD are all correct, its got the same tracks as the dm "mode" 2 CD. QA checks gone wrong somewhere, never come across this type of error before. Returning the CD's tomorrow via Royal Mail now the PO is shut for the day.

Some reviews have commented about faulty discs etc, well this has arrived to me today direct from Amazon and is exactly what it says on the tin (or, rather, the rather attractive card box the CDs are packaged in). This is 17 years’ worth of Depeche’s best work across three discs and is well worth the purchase price. All the hits are here in delightfully remastered sound. Buy with confidence and enjoy (but fear not, the silence)!

Los mejores singles en un solo recopilatorio. Un imprescindible para los que amamos la música. Son siempre un acierto y suenan mejor que nunca.

... und das sage gerade ich als "Metal-Fan", der eigentlich mit Pop und derlei rein gar nichts anfangen kann. Und auch, wenn ich mich eher, wie gesagt, in der härteren Musik a la AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST und Konsorten heimisch fühle, so gab es doch in den 80ern und 90ern eine Gruppe, die mich damals wie heute beeindruckte ... ... DEPECHE MODE ... An Songs, wie "People Are People", "Shake The Disease", "Everything Counts" oder vor allem "Leave In Silence" konnte man ja damals auch als MetalFan kaum vorbeikommen. Besagte Songs hatte ich damals auf LP, "The Singles 81-85". Und vor kurzem bekam ich noch mal so richtig "Bock" auf DM. Als ich in AMAZON las, dass CD1 (von insgesamt 3 CDs) eigentlich meiner damaligen LP entspricht, war ich hin und weg. Der Super-Preis dieser BEST-OF, die wahrscheinlich sogar für DM-Die-Hard-Fans einen repräsentativen Einblick in die Geschichte dieser Band bietet, machte mir die Entscheidung für die Compilation recht leicht. Super Musik in Super-Qualität - was will man mehr? Die volle Kaufempfehlung.
