Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Mini Shoulder Bag

This anti-theft durable (but looks nice) travel bag is exactly what I was looking for. Such a smart design, holds a lot but at the same time isn't too big, and even though it's made from durable moisture resistant tough material it looks nice. A very classic style. I like to use a small backpack during travel but wanted something more secure. Everything I looked at was either too small, too large, or used too much velcro - and then I found this travel purse/bag and based on previous reviews decided to give it a try. Perfect size, secure zippers, no velcro. Smart choice!SIZE: Just the right size. Easily holds my phone (iPhone 13ProMax), glasses case, passport, small wallet, keys, sunscreen/travel items. I like to use small zipper bags for organization and these fit inside perfectly as well.SECURITY: The bag has 4 exterior zippers. The main compartment zipper secures with a metal clasp to a metal ring. The same for a front compartment zipper that is also under a snap closure flap. There's an interior metal clasp on a short nylon cord. The interior card/ID pockets are snug and secure.DESIGN: Good security measures - no bag is fool proof but this has zipper clasps and the overall design itself is a deterrent. There's two outside zipper pockets, unsecured, but one is always on the side next to me so I'm not too concerned. The shoulder straps are wide, very tough and durable material, and attached on one side by a sturdy metal clasp. There's strong slide adjustments to use when changing the length the straps. On the its smallest loop the bag fits over my shoulder and tucked under my arm. Extended I can make it any length cross body I prefer. The material is a very tough nylon.COLOR: Good selection of colors. For an upcoming trip I wanted something neutral but also pretty so I chose the green Spruce. It's very pretty and I love it for day to day, too. I'm wondering though if the Midnight color might be more understated and go with everything while traveling.

Pleasantly surprised with this bag!! Decided to get a simple cross-body bag for upcoming trip. Typically, use a phone wallet case and don’t carry a purse. Going back to a sleek hidden-wallet style phone case as opposed to the bulky one, left me with only space to carry 3 cards and no way to carry my wallet. So, in walks x-body bag. They had so many cute ones to choose from, head was spinning! So, the fact that this one arrived & turned out to be Perfect on the first try is incredible! The safety features cinched it, but will get to that in a second. I really love the material, this basic black is sturdy, feels waterproof, but it actually very simple & stylish. •The strap is adjustable, so it can sit wherever you like, hi low wherever! It is nicely made too—there is a bar that slides over the adjusted part of the strap to keepIt smooth. It •sits perfectly where I want on my hip, •can reach Everything in the bag easily, without even looking. The hardware is not junky or cheap. Mine is a pretty brushed maybe nickel would be a good description? The organization is Perfect for me!! The location of flaps, pockets, zippers etc is extremely well thought out. •There is a small front zipper pocket near bottom, a larger one on back against the body. The secure front flap has a ‘locking’ type zipper & inside the material is sort of silky/matte also with a deep pocket. Perfect for phone etc. •the main pocket also has one of those zippers with the cute clip on it to secure it shut (ie: from ppl trying to reach in while in a crowd). •It has 2 deep pockets on one side-IPut my glasses & sunglasses here, •a strap with a clip for a key fob or whatever—I have my AirPods and my tiny mega flashlight on it, then •another pocket on other side with •3 card slots—I have my extra cards in a leather card holder in the pocket & my Food Lion, Smart trip etc cards in the 3 slots. I’d feel weird putting important cards there! Anyhow, and room in this main pocket for what ever else you might want. Now to top it all off, there are •several theft deterrents!! I am well aware that if someone is serious they will get your purse. These deterrents ward off the regular ppl (kind of like how ‘locks keep honest people out;) The •strap reportedly is made of a steel type that can’t just be cut And •has one of those clips on one end so it can be clipped around your chair where you are sitting so it can’t be snatched in a run or walk by. The bag itself is •made out of material that can’t be slashed either!! Now it does have a slight crinkle sound to it, but either I’m getting used to it or it’s going away with use. As mentioned, •the two main pockets can be clipped closed to keep out the sneaks. The best part, IMO the •RFID protection inside main pocket. Can’t be too careful. ESP in a crowd. Skimmers are a thing!I just love how organized, simple, durable, cute and comfortable it is! It is perfect for me and I believe we are getting a thoughtful, well-made bag created with purpose at a good price point. I am absolutely obsessed and am, from this moment on, not just a phone wallet girl, but a purse girl thanks to this one!! There are many colors & styles to choose from, I don’t think there would be many who are looking for what I described that would be disappointed!! It’s worth every penny!! Love it

Used this bag during travel to Europe. It was perfect. Worn as crossbody - felt very safe. Had perfect inside pocket for passport, outer pocket with zipper and flap for other items. Additional small zipper pocket was perfect for Metro cards, hotel room key, etc. Small, lightweight, but had tons of room for everything that I needed. Would definitely recommend for travel - or any other use.

Bought this for an overseas trip. Worked great, loved the pockets and security features. Only downside is that only one zipper actually locks. The others can be opened. It is comfortable to wear cross body and I like the non-cutable straps.

Took this travel purse to France recently and believe it may be a perfect purse! It is lightweight with numerous zippered exterior pockets and well organized interior spots for keys, credit cards, money, passports, glasses, lipstick, etc without being bulky if you plan it correctly. I am an experienced traveler who has tried many purses and travel bags. This for me has proven to be just the right size, with just the right theft preventing items built in, with just the right strap for lengthening or shortening for any body type. It is simple in style, hugs the body, is easy for the owner to use, but would be off putting to a thief assuming the wearer is a conscientious traveler. Highly recommend this great travel purse!

I ordered both the purple and the berry pink with tulips. Trying to decide which to keep. I love the berry pink color with the tulips on it, it truly is unique. The purple is a nice deep color and will match a lot of outfits. Decisions, decisions! Which to keep?I have another Travelon purse that I have used for a year and have compared it to these for size. I thought you might like to see the size and compare the two different models. In the photos I have put them next to each other, also next to the other model and also included measurements and put one on top of the other. You have a lot to consider.My prior one is the Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Quilted Slim Pouch in Ocean blue. I ordered it a year ago. I have loved it and taken on lots of trips, and actually use it as my daily bag.The purple and pink purses are bigger. With multiple zippers and pockets, including RFID slide pockets inside. Know that it does not hold a water bottle but you could clip one to it. I typically also hang a little pouch of hand sanitizer on the outside of the purse to keep handy. One thing I love about the blue one I've had for a year is that I can easily fit it in the zipper pouch pocket of my LL Bean pullover when boarding a plane so it does not count as a personal item. This newer style purse is too big for that, as it would never fit in a pocket. You can wear this on your shoulder or as a crossbody. It has the locking zipper on the top opening. The nylon fabric is water repellent. It is lightweight and I think will be perfect for travel. With the additional size I will be able to fit in my portable charger, passport, id, credit cards, tissues, masks if needed, lip gloss, a pen and other small items. It of course has the attached little light inside. And with a bright color, I would easily see if someone is attempting to slide their hand into it. Either color also would look lovely in photos as I travel. I love Travelon brand purses and end up using them as a daily purse for my run around town life. I like that I do not have to choose boring black at all times. I do not think this screams tourist. Nor is it frumpy. Life is short, buy the purse you love and that makes you smile. I am looking forward to a few upcoming trips, domestic and international and this style purse is perfect. I caught these when they were on sale, which Travelon or Amazon seems to do periodically making it a great buy. I hope this helps you decide.

I’ve tried so many other bags over the years looking for a small, but not to small, easy to travel with, easy to use (well placed pockets and zippered areas) purse. And I finally found it! I didn’t even get it for all the safety features, but think they’re pretty cool and overall have felt like my stuff was safer. If only because it sits well across my body and isn’t bulky. But it’s still amazingly roomy! It won’t fit a big ol long wallet easily with a phone, but the card slots inside are perfect for travel and honestly I don’t need to carry every card with me all the time. Most inside card slots aren’t easily accessible in my experience but these are. With past purses I would struggle with finding what I needed or everything ending up in the one big pocket…but with this purse I’m finding it way easier to organize and best of all, locate my various baubles without digging. I am awkward as hell on a normal day…put me in even a slightly more anxious situation, (ie: airport, travel to unknown places, just being forced to quickly find anything) and the awkwardness sky rockets to embarrassing degrees. (Which makes a couple of my MS symptoms pop up and makes things exponentially worse) This purse has helped me feel less awkward and more in control in those situations I get a little more stressed. Weird take on a purse maybe, but if I feel like this, I have to assume so do others!In conclusion of a rambling review:Pros: lightweight, fits body well, secure, sooo many useful pockets with zippers and easily accessible front pockets for quickly needed stuff so you’re not an awkward jumble of a person attempting to located your own crap in your own purse. (Also purple is my color and this is a good color purple without being garish.)Cons: So far, none!

This bag was perfect for Europe. I love all the pockets and it held everything I needed. I also felt better knowing they couldn't cut thru the strap easily. I thought the quality was good and I would recommend this to anyone traveling into pickpocketing areas.

I bought this item for an overseas trip, wanting a functional bag that would hold all my essentials while keeping them secure. This bag definitely fit the bill and I carried it with me everywhere. It looks small but I was able to stuff more items there than I expected. It’s also light weight which is great when you’ve been carrying it around all day and my shoulder didn’t hurt. The neutral colour means it goes with any outfit. Very pleased with this 😊😊😊

I always put my wallet in my purse anyway, so why not ditch the wallet and put all the cards in the card pockets? It has lots of pockets for essentials like keys, phone, zip area for cash, but slim/compact enought that I can't try to jam everything I own into it so remains lightweight. I like the security measures, can never be too safe these days. I liked it so much I ordered the small cross body bag (only large enough for the essentials) and the saddle bag that were on sale. I also like that there's no ornate nonsense on the bags that catches the eye, less of a target for theft if they look kinda boring.

This is a great little bag with enough pockets to hold a remarkable amount of stuff. The black version passes as an acceptable manbag and the locking clasps on the zips are fiddly enough that I felt confident that it would dissuade most pickpockets from trying. The bag is still vulnerable to being snatched off your shoulder, but you can actually use the locking clasp to attach it to a trouser belt loop if you're that concerned. However, that's less likely anyway given the anti-slash protection.I spent a week with this in March in Barcelona (pickpocket capital of the world, supposedly) and as far as I'm aware nobody even tried. I paired this with my walking trousers that have zippable pockets as this provided quicker access to my phone and small change. The card holders in the bag can eliminate the need for a wallet, mine spent the whole week in the hotel room safe. I also had two small cameras, the rest of my cash, Metro passes and lots of misc leaflets and other stuff you pick up while touristing. When we needed bigger low-value items (e.g. coats, water etc), these went in a rucksack. The bag is not cheap but it bought me peace of mind and was actually more useful than my other satchel bag.

I love this purse! It is lightweight, great quality and a fun colour (purple). I need a slightly smaller wallet, as I do find it occasionally difficult to get my wallet in and out of the purse. The little light on the inside is a terrific detail! I am considering the black version too. :)
