I love this product
I love this product and have purchased it multiple times. It is so easy to make, not time consuming and tastes amazing and is full of flavour. It is also cheap so takes the finacial cost of making curry from scratch away which is useful for people on a budget. Because its quick and hassle free to make its ideal for after a 12 hour shift or if you have little time to cook in the day. The spice level is mild to medium but the flavour is lovely. I would highly recommend this every time

Expensive, hard to find but a nostalgic comfort food
I know it's a fake curry with bits of soy and the rice is a hard as horsehoes but it's quick, easy, cheap-ish and tastes like the 70's when it was a rare delight. Makes me feel guilty, slightly embarrassed but happy for a few short moments before life starts kicking back in.

An old favourite from the 1980s
I gave this a 5 star review, partly because it delivered exactly the feeling I expected and partly because I couldn't bring myself to rate it low given that I was trying it for nostalgia's sake. That said it's important to give an honest review so I will! It is quite hard to believe that I used to eat this and enjoy it. I made this following all instructions and it came out ok, only a few of the "beef" pieces were like dry biscuit, but the sauce came out thick and gloomy and with an initially OK flavour followed by a weird aftertaste (I don't remember that!). I have a feeling they have modified the recipe, it's not got the same flavour I remember, but perhaps my taste buds have changed since way back then. Obviously nobody is buying this to replace a normal curry in 2020 [especially given the prep time], but if you wan't a journey back in time, this will absolutely deliver and also confirm that some kinds of progress are for the better!

From amazing to awful
Nothing like they used to be. In fact theyโre vile. Through the other 2 packets away.

Exactly what I wanted. A taste of 1970s Nostalgia.
These meals are not for connoisseurs of Curries and Eastern Cuisine. These Dehydrated Meals barely merit the title "Curry" as we appreciate them today. Let me explain. Back in the late 1970s I would always carry several Vesta Packets in my Backpack whenever I went Camping. They take up very little room, have a long shelf-life, are lightweight and provide a hot meal after making camp. I just wanted to see whether Vesta still had that same, unusual recipe and whether the taste experience would bring back any memories. Yes Indeed, the food is still just as bizarre. Thank you Vesta for reminding me of the joys of having food delivered by a good Indian Restaurant, as opposed to eating your unpleasant product.
