It doesn't matter if it is facing up or down. Just please keep the cap on tightly and keep the marker somewhere warm to prevent it from drying out too quickly. Alternatively, keep the unused applicators in an airtight bag or container to prevent them from drying out.

One of the best beard fillers. I do have thick full beard but I accidentally brought the line bit down when I was lining up and I used this beard filler to bring it up bit until it grows back. It looks very neat and natural. Great product
