I've been looking for some time for an outlet that supported USB-C/Thunderbolt charging and the additional USB-A port is useful too. I bought and installed 3 - no problems of any kind. Please note that these outlets have 3 terminal screws - 1 for black wire, 1 for white wire and 1 for ground wire. Two of my outlets were setup this way and were easy to replace. My 3rd outlet has 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire, so I ran a pigtail connection for the 2 black and 2 white wires to get them into one wire each to connect to the terminal screws. If you have an outlet with this configuration of 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire you must also run pigtail connections to the terminal screws or use the small holes in the back for 2 black and 2 white push through wire connections. As I did not use the push through connections at all, I can't comment on that. No issues of any kind getting these outlets to work on first try. I like these enough I may be another one or two in the future to add to my house. One outlet I have connected all the time to an Amazon Echo device and the outlet has worked fine, even allowing a USB charge connection while the Echo is plugged in. Note that these don't support Qualcomm Quick Charge, but I found the charging to be fast enough for my needs. And finally, if you are looking to replace an outlet where the top and bottom plug receptacles are on different circuit breakers, this device won't support that. That kind of setup is a bit unusual and shouldn't be found in most home setups.

These are great. I bought 4 for different rooms in my apartment because of the great number of outlets that I have been using to charge the devices my family uses. Pros: - 2 fast chargers (not one fast, one regular)!!! - easy installation (if you know how to install a wall outlet. If not, turn off the breaker and YouTube it!) - effectively gives me more outlets (freeing up ones that were used for chargers) - fits in standard outlet boxes - contains covers in 3 colors (white, beige, black) to suit your aesthetics Cons: - Tight fit causes problems if you have any surprises! Let me explain: these fit in the wall boxes, but if you have anything tricky going on, it will be a tight fit. I live in a pre-war, and some of the wires needed to be lengthened. This means that there is extra “stuff” in the box. These outlets go deep, so it is hard to fit anything else in the box. All in all, very happy I bought the outlers.

First Review (some time ago): I'm going to round my review up to 5 stars. This product is good. Works well. I haven't had any issues. Something to note, this doesn't work if you have a dual control outlet. If the top and bottom plugs are on different circuits aka different wires, this won't do that. There is a single hot and a single neutral for the entire outlet. This is no issue in most cases, but something to be aware of. Second Review (Sept 2020): Dropping this down to 4 stars. I ordered this a 2nd time. The tamper protection inside was broken and I couldn't get the plug in. I asked for a replacement from Amazon. When the new one came; first off, it worked fine; it had a slightly different box, pictures attached, and it came with a faceplate. The original one did not. Also the original box had tape over the side where it said a faceplate was included. Not sure what is going on that I received the same product withing 2 weeks of each other and received slightly different variations.

Works great with our iPhones and iPads. Charge time seems to be equal to or possibly a little faster than the supplied chargers even when both USB outlets are being used. Very good build quality. The connections are identical to a normal A/C outlet so it's very easy to install. As others have mentioned it does take up a little more space inside the electrical box. I had to scrunch the wiring a little bit to get it to fit flush, but in the end it was fine and looks good. Also as others have noted it does not come with a switch plate. So if you have the older "two-hole" outlets you'll need to buy a standard rectangular switch plate like this one: Lutron CW-1-WH 1-Gang Claro Wall Plate (1 Pack), White I purchased a couple of these Anker Lightening cables to go with it. They fit snugly and work great. Anker PowerLine Lightning Cable (3ft) Apple MFi Certified Lightning Cable / Charger Cord, for iPhone 7/7 Plus 6/6s Plus 5/5s/5c, iPad mini/Air/Pro iPod touch (White) I'll report back if something goes south, but I expect to be using the Topgreener Smart In-Wall Outlet for a long time.

Great product and easy to install if you are familiar with electric outlets. Understand it is not " Adaptive Fast Charging Charger" just a fast charger that will not over charge. Fine for me as I use it at night to charge my phone and tablet. The price can't be beat and it looks like a quality outlet. Nicer than a wall wort that keep drawing current if nothing is plugged in, this will sense the device is charged and powers down as well as not draw current when not plugged in. Three face plate colors, but it does need an outlet cover to finish the job. While I can't evaluate the aspect that it draws no current while no device is attached, it is a very nice feature.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Charges fast.

Bought this in 2019 (wow has the price gone up!) because we had gremlins constantly stealing charging blocks. It was non stop and annoying as he_ _!! No idea what the kids... errr gremlins where doing with them. Anyway, figured this would solve that issue and maybe just maybe, slow down the disappearing charging cable issue as well. Installation was straight forward, be aware that these are a little wider than the one you'll be removing. Also be aware that you won't be able to use a large block type plug. If you do, it will block the USB plug. To remedy that, I bought a short 1' extension cord, problem solved. It's been almost 2 years and its been working great. The disappearing charging cable issue has slowed considerably also. Who knew??

This outlet has 2 excellent high speed (high power) USB ports. I was replacing a burned out cheaper outlet that had USB, and this one is MUCH better. It was a little harder to install in the outlet box because this receptacle is deeper. I will buy again.

I'm using this outlet in our kitchen island, and the device is pretty big depth wise and was forced into the outlet box. I did know this going in as per other reviews posted on this product. Make sure your box if big enough to house the device. Otherwise product works as described.

Works, but it will not super charge Huawei p30 pro. I can not plug an apple cube into lower receptacle because it hits the middle wires.

Quick service, good packaging and easy to install (same difficulty as other outlets). Back is slightly deeper than normal outlets. Would buy again.
