Reliable Smart Plugs That Play Perfectly with Hue and Alexa
These Innr Zigbee Smart Plugs have become a key part of our smart-home setup. I originally bought a pair in 2020 and added more in 2024 after seeing how reliable they were and the need to add more automated capabilities in our home. They work seamlessly with our Philips Hue network through the Hue Hub, and setup was fast and simple. I’ve used these plugs for everything from landscape lighting to indoor lamps and Christmas decorations. For example, our landscape lights now turn on five minutes before sunset and off at midnight without us lifting a finger. The same goes for several lamps and all of our lighted Christmas decorations, including the tree. We currently have 6 of these plugs in use, and not one has given us trouble. Even the 1 installed outside (in a rain-protected box) has held up well through seasonal humidity and temperature swings. Each plug feels solid and well constructed, and once set up, it just works. Initially, I hesitated a little at the price, but after seeing the performance and how easy they are to integrate and automate, the value is absolutely there. Compared to the Philips Hue version, these are more affordable and just as reliable. I haven’t felt the need to explore any other brands. Tip: You may end up needing more than you expect. Once you see how convenient automation is, it’s hard not to start adding more lamps and devices to the system.

Solid Zigbee Smart Plug and Repeater works great with Hubitat
August 2020 Update: Went ahead and purchased another set. Great experience thus far. Pricing is pretty good as you get a couple of plugs relative to a Samsung ST Zigbee plug. Have not had any issues with range and coverage for my usage. I purchased the innr smart plugs for use to control some table lamps and to act as a repeater for some of my Zigbee sensors that were further away from the Hubitat. After about a week, they've been working great and the sensors that were somewhat intermittent have been very stable in their responsiveness. Overall the build quality of the innr smart plugs appear to be very good and have a nice finish. I like the form factor as the innr smart plug is designed to use the top outlet, it doesn't extend in the horizontal direction past the wall plate, and it still allows you to use the bottom receptacle for other devices. The innr smart plugs were very easy to pair and configure to use in home automations. Overall cost might be a little bit higher than standard 2.4GHz WiFi smart plugs, but if you're looking for Zigbee support especially to act as a repeater in your network you should consider these smart plugs.

Bit expensive 🫰yet fully worthy
I used buy only Kasa Smart plugs since my first Kasa plug their app was a necessity. There onwards I kept buying like Forty odd 🔌 smart plugs. I was never happy with it due to their limitations in Third Party application support. Finally even it is a bit expensive side I bought the first Four Innr Smart plugs. The quality of the Innr plugs are lovely. And the built quality of the plugs are great , doesn't feel cheap and low quality. And they work like a charmer. My issue with Kasa Third-party applications now has been solved. I connected Innr plugs into Philips Hue Hub - thereafter through Harmony Elite Hub got the Innr plugs show up via Philips Hue. Amazing product as extremely easy to set them up and most of all it supports many Thirds Party applications. I love these Innr Smart Plugs. I don't think I will have to look into another name brand for Smart-plugs. Bit expensive, but boy you get your money's worth. I am very pleased with the Innr Smart Plugs and very highly recommend Innr Smart Plugs. Cheers.

Works with Hue and Google assistant
I got the two pack so I could use one for my laptop and one for the Christmas tree. They work exactly as expected. You plug it in, plug in the device you wish to control, then either use the physical switch, app or voice assistant. I scheduled my laptop to power on weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, and my Christmas tree to come on daily at sunset and turn off at 11 PM. These schedules are done via the Hue app. Additionally, since Hue is paired with my Google Home, I can nickname the devices and say 'Hey Google, turn on/off the laptop/Christmas tree'. Works great! You could also use the physical switch on the plug if desired, but that defeats the purpose of a smart switch. I have no problems with ZigBee range in my home, so I cannot comment on the range extender. My ZigBee performance has not decreased with these in use. I also have no had any device resets or unintended power-offs. So why have I knocked a star? I have previously used WiFi smart plugs, but I wanted ZigBee plugs that connect to Hue my Hue bridge to reduce the total number of devices on my WiFi network. These accomplish that, however, they show up as lights in the Hue app. Since they are 'lights', if you assign them to a room, say the living room, the plug will turn on and off with the other lights in that room. This isn't a problem if you are plugging in an old standing 'dumb' light, but it is a problem if you are plugging in a device you do not want to turn on and off with the other lights in that room. You have to create a new (or several new) rooms to assign just the plugs to if you want to control them separately. Also, you can only update the firmware with the Innr app, but if order to do so you have to register a new account. Since I am using them with Hue and Google assistant I deleted the Innr app and opted not to create an account which means I am stuck on old firmware. They work fine on the old firmware for my usage. Though for security, I would like to have a way to update them without registering a new account.

Good for Hue but finicky pairing
Decided to see how friendly these were with Hue. Both came out of the box right into pairing mode. First unit was detected immediately. Second unit took about 4 rounds of unplug-plug-force pairing to get paired. Both units work well and immediately just like a regular Hue smart plug. I also unpaired these units from my Hue setup and repaired them to Home Assistant when I couldn't get the automation I wanted working in Hue. The same pairing issue with the second unit appeared, but once paired Home Assistant exposed even more options for both devices. Operation was just fine under HA as well. Good all around unit if you are willing to deal with one that doesn't like to pair on occasion.

Hue has borked these
These worked great for about a month, then about 80% of the time, they just don't turn on. To make them work again, you have to delete them from Hue, and re-add them (press and hold button until it blinks) this is extremely difficult if you have them installed somewhere hard to get to. Once re-paired with the Hue bridge, they'll work again, intermittently about 9/10 times you try them for a few weeks, then suddenly they'll stop working at all AGAIN. Wash rinse repeat, over and over again. I've changed the Hue zigbee channel, I've replaced the hub, I've bought an additional hub to spread the devices evenly in case I had too many, keeps happening, with all of the plugs in this set. I have 8 total of them, and they are so unreliable, I'm considering throwing them away and buying the HUE brand ones now. It's so heartbreaking because hue stuff is so expensive and these seem like a great deal but the consistent NOT WORKING is both EMBARASSING and frustrating. So wonderful having family stay over and the lights don't turn on half the time. meanwhile my hue brand ones all work 100% of the time every time.

Easy to use with Hue, and somewhat nicer that the Hue brand
Pairing these in the Hue app was trivially easy. And they work perfectly with the lamps I have plugged into them. They are just a tab bit too large to use side-by-side, although I am unsure why you would do that. More importantly, unlike my Hue smart plug, they leave plenty of room to still use the outlet next to it with a standard plug. There is a green light on the side then they are on, but mercifully it shuts off when in "off" mode, so it won't bother you at night.

I'm compelled to write a review of this great product.
I have to a write a review of this great product. I have been wrestling with my current brand smart plugs for a while now. They install fine, but they are WiFi connected and seem to be subject to disconnection. I wante to find a smartplug that would work with my Echo's built-in hub and not require another hub. The INNR smart plug installed so easily and is connected through the built-in hub on my Echo Show 2 gen. It has been rock solid in its performance and reliability. If you are having challenges with smartplugs and want some thing reliable that works easily with Amazon's built-in ZigBee, this is a great choice at a great price. Strongly recommended. One tiny drawback to be aware of, if you don't want to block an outlet, you need to plug it into the top plug. When plugged into the bottom, it blocks the top.
