Love it!
Love this nostalgic toy! And an extra pull-string is a nice bonus!

An old favorite
These gyroscope toys were popular when I was a kid (a long time ago!). I found an old one in the attic and showed it to my 12- year old daughter. She was intrigued but the string was damaged so it didn’t work very well. We found this inexpensive one on Amazon and it was nearly an exact duplicate of my old one! It was shiny and new and had a strong string. She loves playing with it and having races with the two of them!

Fun
Flashback of nostalgia. Love this little toy. It can be tricky to get the hang of it but once you do its lots of fun. Quality materials and durable as it bounces around and spins. Happy with purchase

Very well.made & BEAUTIFUL
Really well made and beautiful. Years after, my son can pull it out of the box (or off the floor) and It will work flawlessly!

Cool little toy
Cool little toy. My son loves it but not the easiest to keep spinning for a long time. Seems a little rough. But not a bad price.

Not worth the $
Not worth the money. Gyroscope is not balanced at all, It wobbles like crazy. The pull string is also horrible. After the third pull the string broke.

Gyroscope spun its way right into our hears (and my son's obsession)
I bought this metal gyroscope toy for my son, and now it’s like we have a tiny spinning planet right on our kitchen table. He’s been mesmerized watching it go round and round, I swear it’s hypnotizing enough to make chores disappear (at least for a few minutes). Warning: Side effects include random science lessons, dizzy parents trying to spin it too fast, and a sudden urge to find out if it can defy gravity (spoiler: it can’t, but the fun is in trying). If you want to entertain your kid and maybe learn a bit about physics yourself, this little spinner is a winner.

Top of the Tops!
I've just received this fancy spinning top, and let me tell you, it's like we've entered a time warp back to the days of simple, yet mesmerizing fun. My two boys, who usually treat toys like they're in a demolition derby, have found their zen with this contraption. First off, setting it up is as easy as pie - if pie meant pulling a string and watching magic happen. You yank that string, place this bad boy on its base, and voila! You've got yourself a spinning spectacle. The fun factor? It's like watching a mini tornado in your living room, except without the cleanup. My kids have turned this into a full-blown competition, trying to see who can keep it spinning the longest before it decides to take a dramatic dive off the base. The build quality is surprisingly sturdy; I half expected it to disintegrate under my boys' enthusiasm, but nope, it's holding up like a champ. The only downside is that once you start, you'll find yourself getting hypnotized by the spin, possibly forgetting about responsibilities like, oh, I don't know, dinner or bedtime. Now, a word of caution: this top might just be the calm before the storm. Once the spinning stops, expect your kids to demand an encore performance. And another. And another. 5 stars for simplicity, entertainment, and that satisfying 'whoosh' sound as it spins. 0 stars for my ability to get any work done while it's in action. Would buy again, if only to see how long my kids can stare at a spinning object in awe.

It's OK, but probably overpriced
The more I sit with my son and play with this - it was a gift for him - the more I am convinced this probably cost no more than a few dollars to create. It looks great, and it works as a gyroscope should, and he likes it. But ... it was $30! For that money, I'd probably have appreciated some tighter tolerances. The gyroscope vibrates quite a bit due to the play between the axis the rotating mass is attached to and the shaft it spins on. I know bushings wouldn't work as it would create too much drag. And it's probably too small for bearings of any kind - may needle? But in the absence of all those things to make up for the play, I guess I'd just expect a lower price closer to what I'm guessing is its pretty low production cost.
