I was convinced my pump was bad because I kept having to add fluid and the pump was whining when it was low so I ordered this theee bottle kit of OEM Honda fluid and when it arrived it happened to include two o-rings so I did some research and found that o-ring failure on the two pressure lines that connect to the pump are a common failure on 8th gen civics. I then undertook the task of replacing those two o-rings, which only took me about 2 hours and VOILÁ, no more leak! This kit is well worth the money!

Use only on Honda vehicles. Don't put any other type of fluid into your power steering pump on your Honda or it will mess up the car. I got this and changed mine out with a fluid pump. I put two pieces of cardboard on the garage floor. Now when I put key in just kept it to on position. Slowly turning wheels right to left and locking the wheel. I bled the old fluid out. Then I'd replace it with new fluid in the tank. It is yellow and clear. I looked at my old fluid which was black and smelled bad. A lot of people won't pay attention to the power steering or neglect it. Make sure to check it. If you want, you can take old fluid out and dump new in. Don't have to lift car up if you don't want to. This worked great and so glad I got clean fluid in. Don't turn the car on and empty the power steering tank. It will run your power steering pump dry, and also ruin it.

I noticed the power steering fluid on my Civic was slowly going down. There were spots of oil all over the driveway, and the reservoir level had dropped below the minimum line. I knew I needed to replace the O-ring, but I really didn’t feel like paying almost ten dollars for a tiny piece of rubber. This bundle, though, was a no-brainer. The price is great for the fluid alone, and the fact that it also includes the O-ring made it an instant purchase for me. I replaced the O-ring, did a full power steering fluid change, and now the car drives smoothly and there are no more leaks.

Works well so far. Haven’t used the rings since I don’t have a need for them. But I at least have them for the future. Wouldn’t recommend the little pour topper they give you, it bleeds from the neck of the bottle when pouring. It’s not hard to pour by hand at all.
