Anker USB Type-C to Ethernet Adapter for USB Type-C Devices Including the New MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel and More (Silver Aluminum)

Having worked in IT for almost 40yrs, I've become accustomed to certain things ... like: 1. cables, like coat-hangers, will always get twisted up no matter how well you store them 2. The increasing computing power now compared to when I started is off the scale 3. Kettle leads 4. LAN ports on laptops It's this last that has caused me to buy this item. Modern laptops no longer provide an old style Cat5 LAN port, and when I wanted to test my raw internet speed I needed to plug in a LAN cable.. only I couldn't. Cue this purchase which does the job expected. It works, appears to have a good data throughput and looks solidly built with the main casing being metal. My only fear is losing it!

A touch expensive if I'm honest... However, as is with all Anker products I own and have owned over the years, it seems well built and just works. I plugged it in and connected the ethernet cable and boom, instant gigabit connection. Mine does seem to have warmed up over the many hours of usage, but it's not excessively hot and of no concern at the moment.

I bought this to provide an ethernet connection to my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9", and it worked perfectly from the moment I first plugged it in. As at least one other reviewer here has commented though, it does get quite hot in use, and I'm a bit concerned not only by that heat itself, but also by how much my iPad battery is being drained in order to generate it. Ideally I'd like to see a female USB-C port provided on the device, so that the iPad could at least be charging while the ethernet connection is in use, and so not draining the battery.

Cannot fault this. It provides a steady ethernet connection to a new macbook. The adapter does get very warm but works fine and provides a 1Gbps connection to my router.

I wanted to get a USB C to Ethernet adaptor which will work out of the box for my 2016 Macbook running MacOS 10.14. This does the job. Plug it in and then plug it into an ethernet connection and it just works - perfect. It's nicely made too and has a metal cover around the ethernet plug (which matches the colour of my Macbook!)

I chose Express delivery and my product was delivered next day. The product is well made, looks good, performs faultlessly and, at £14.99, it's well worth the money.

I bought this for my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016, with Touch Bar) which is running High Sierra. This item does not work straight out of the box as it lacks the 'drivers' to actually even be detected by the Mac straight away. 🌟 Pros: ****************************** ✅ Well constructed dongle which feels professionally finished. ✅ I love the status LEDs on the top so you can double check network activity. ✅ The USB C connector is well made and gives a satisfying 'click' when plugged in so you know it's fully inserted. ✅ Comes in frustration free packaging which can be recycled ♻️ 🔥 Cons: ****************************** ❌ ⚠️DO NOT GOOGLE THE DRIVERS⚠️ I unfortunately did and ended up being spoofed and installing Malware causing me to have to restore my Laptop (thank Apple for Time Machine Backups!). ❌ You will need to contact Anker directly through here and they will send you the right drivers if you're a mac High Sierra user. I think this is a real issue as what seems like a pretty straightforward piece of kit can end up being a massive headache. 🛍 Would I Buy Again? ****************************** Overall it's a good product however not without its flaws and for the non-techie out there may be a real headache so no, I wouldn't buy this again which is a real shame as I normally love Anker products.

Werkt prima i.c.m. mijn Chromebook. Heeft ook handige indicatoren (lichtjes) aan de bovenkant. Mooi product.

Eigentlich gibt es zu diesem kleinen aber recht nützlichen Teil wenig zu sagen 🤗 Zumindest für einen Laien wie mich . Der Adapter ist einfach nach dem Plug and Play Prinzip anzuschließen und ist wie ich finde gut verarbeitet. Es sind 3 LED Leuchten (rot , grün und blau) angebracht die die Funktion optisch darstellen. Der Adapter wird bei Benutzung nach ca. 30 Minuten warm , aber nicht bedenklich. Ich habe den Adapter aktuell mit meinem Apple IPad Pro 11 verbunden und kann nun nach Belieben von WLAN auf Ethernet wechseln . Einstellungen kann man dann auf dem IPad Pro 11 unter Einstellungen/Ethernet einsehen und ggf. ändern. Was vielleicht noch wichtig wäre ist, das das IPad Pro 11 in Verbindung mit diesem Adapter nicht aufgeladen wird ! Für mich persönlich ist das nicht wichtig 🤗 Wir geben 5 von 5 möglichen Punkten und empfehlen diesen Adapter weiter .

Perfettamente compatibile con MacBook Pro 2017. Lo uso per accedere e controllare la rete Dante di Audinate senza alcun problema anche in situazioni più complesse. Pari all’ adattatore originale Apple.
