8BitDo Charging Dock for Xbox Wireless Controllers, Magnetic Secure Charging Station for Series X|S and One Controller - Officially Licensed

There’s soooo much I can say about this but the pictures on the site do not do it justice. It looks absolutely beautiful with a subtle downfacing led light that can be dimmed but it’s already at that level which is perfect during the day and night. Glistening off the hard wood flooring we have but it also projects a glow near the bottom see through case. Very retro and who doesn’t love see through cases right?? Now there’s two things that I’d like to mention so it’s easier to setup and get right ahead to giving it a charge (always important to charge before first use) so as it’s calibrated the battery’s IC. There will be one battery that resembles the original plug and charge kit. Sadly for whatever reason Microsoft decided to omit any indicator for full charge besides checking on pc or Xbox apps. This battery has separate charging ports so goes in and fits exactly how the original does but will require a new magnetic alignment enabled Xbox branded cover for it. Nothing protrudes either so a flush feel just like normal. There are two provided as it’s backwards compatible with the Xbox one and forward compatible with the latest Series SX controllers. Both covers look almost identical so make sure you use the right one. I didn’t know and thought I had received a faulty product. Second is all of this is stored away during unboxing in a clever compartment in the bottom of the dock which has a lid. Not told in the instructions so I thought there was a mishap. Besides those and the fact that 8bitdo don’t seem so be selling extra batteries and lids means this will likely be a dock for just a single controller you use as your main. Once finished its drop and magnet aligned charge is fuss free. LED down facing light will turn orange and then white once charged. I will be contacting the company if they are willing to sell another battery lid and battery but for single player sessions mines lasted around 2 weeks now and still has charge. To test whether it’s a smart charger and turn to trickle charge once full it does indeed as using my voltmeter which says at 0.5w is what it draws when needed docked at all times for another week. It’s a great solution and for the price of the official one which doesn’t have these features but costs the same you can buy another dock for two controllers. It’s usb c to usb a cable. Split single usb A to two usb C cables are readily available on here if that’s the case using the front Xbox port. As with all 8bitdo devices. This one deserves full merits!

For such a simple product it’s a great piece of design. It’s worth paying the extra few £ to get this over any no-name-brand dock (my old one tacky and flimsy compared to this). Everything about it is quality and the charging / charged lights are pretty subtle so they’re not distracting in our living room.

I've been really pleased with this charging dock - it has a small footprint, a storage space within it holds any of the unwanted battery covers. The controller is always charged up and ready to go every time!

Since I purchased this, it has been extremely better than the Razer Xbox controller charger, which didn't even work when I got it. However, with this one only being 20 quid, I can say that it just works with no issues vs. the Razer one, which is far more expensive and does the same thing. The only complaint I have with this charger stand is that the light is always on after it has been charged. I wish there was a way to turn that off.

Excelente producto. Tenía uno de Venon que también funciona muy bien, pero este supera mis expectativas. Además, al mando le puse una funda,, tenía reparos por si no hiciera bien contacto pero todo perfecto.

Llevo utilizándolo casi 1 año y las baterías y la base funcionan como el primer día, pero lo que más me ha gustado de este producto es la estética y diseño que tiene, es GOD, si buscas algo que no solo sirva para cargar tu control y haga que tu setup luzca muy bien, esta es la opción

Remember to insert +/- contacts to the left for Series X/S and make sure to use correct battery cover (look at top end plastic prongs. Battery and covers are inside the dock's back panel.
