Works Exactly As Desired and Easy Like A Toaster
This Transmitter/Receiver is super easy to use. It's smaller than it looks, just a few inches tall, though the top is wide enough to accodate large buttons. The screen makes finding and pairing with your devices a no-brainer.I bought this unit because of the bluetooth capabilities in my Hisense TV were so limited. The Orbit Pro can connect to two bluetooth headphones instead of one, has fewer drop-outs, longer range, no lip-syncing issue (ATPX-LL, low-latency), and allows each listener to pick their own volume level separate and distinct from the other listener.Compared to the other Orbit units, this one has a remote control, supports eARC input and, I believe, has a few more volume levels (15 instead of 10?). I didn't buy this for the remote or eARC input; I simply wanted to make sure I got the latest device with the newest internals. It's 3 years newer than the previous rev.I do get some dropouts. This is particularly noticable if something is in pairing mode (so don't do that while listenting to music). I will report back if I figure out which of my 20 Bluetooth capable devices is interfering. It's not happening that often so I'm not concerned.Avantree seems to have done everything right. It sorta does what you want it to. They just sorta know. For example, I can select a set of headphones on the LCD and see if it's using APTX-LL. You can also adjust the volume in the same way if your earbuds don't have volume controls. There's a remote control that I just put in a drawer since my headphones have volume buttons.I have successfully paired with three over-the-ear headphones and was pleased:- Seinnheiser HD450SE- Ankbit E600Pro- Bose QC 35 IIThe Seinnheiser and Ankbits have APTX-LL. The Bose QC 35 II don't have APTX-LL, and the lag/latency was very noticable (not the Orbit's fault - that APTX-LL is crucial). The Bose went back upstairs for listening to music.Pros:Allows headphones with volume controls to individually select their own volume / listening levelsLooks fantasticLED screen for simple pairingCons:An occaisonal dropout

Amazing quality, easy to set up and use!!
This thing is so amazing. I bought two others before this one and there’s no comparison. It’s so easy to set up and use and pairs so easily. No lag with sound and works awesome with headphones so I can watch tv with surround sound while not bothering anyone else!

Won't work with Samsung Smart TVs
I thought that this would be the solution to getting the Avantree bluetooth headset working with mom's Samsung TV circa 2016 or so - annoyingly the headset had to be repaired each and every time the TV was turned on. That won't work for my 95 year old mom! The sound would not port from the TV to the base no matter what I did. Took too hours of fiddling to reach the conclusion.I ended up purchasing an old school wired Sony headset and a converter box to jump the HDMI jack to the headphone jack needed for the headset. Works like a charm, it's on when the TV is on, no setup required after selecting to have sound port to the HMDI ARC port.

Totally misleading features
UPDATE: This used to be a 1-star review, but unexpectedly their customer service folks that I called were outstanding and talked me through how to get it setup to transmit to both headphones simultaneously. It is NOT how it is described in their instructions, hence the 4-stars instead of 5. Even though it will show a disconnect error when INITIALLY pairing your headphones (which you can pair a multiple amount to this unit) you have to make certain that NO OTHER BLUETOOTH SOURCES that your headphones were EVER paired with are powered on or have the Bluetooth enabled on those devices, while doing the setup or when subsequently connecting to this unit. After the initial setup you can leave the Bluetooth on your phone enabled SO LONG AS the headphone or device that you are pairing with this unit is NOT ALSO PAIRED TO YOUR PHONE. In this case, turn off Bluetooth to your phone BEFORE pairing or connecting to this Avantree Orbit Pro unit. (this is in the instructions). Yes, this is a bit of a pain, but the Orbit Pro, does connect quicker than any of its predecessors and the connection is stable, which is why I bought this in the first place.

Great, with a couple caveats
The Orbit Pro works great and set up went great, although I did need to refer to the manual to answer a couple of questions. The unit came with all of the necessary cables with the recommendation to plug the USB cable into the TV, if you have the port, so that it will power on/off with the TV. Most of the issues that I do have with it are for the most part personal; The Orbit Pro is both a transmitter and receiver. Since my goal in buying it was for use as a transmitter for my TV, the receiver part likely won't get used.. The remote control is useful if the Bluetooth device doesn't have its own volume remote. Otherwise, there is no need to add the Orbit Pro remote to your stack. The Orbit Pro also has HDMI ARC input, but that's really only useful if your TV doesn't have Optical, since it offers no sound quality advantages and you can't use the bypass feature when connected to HDMI ARC. The Orbit Pro uses aptX low latency and has been replaced by aptX HD due to its low adoption rate, so I'm not sure of how many listening devices will be compatible. One of the reasons that I opted for the Pro was because of the extra features. After using it, it's not worth the extra $30 for me. For others it may be the ideal choice because it is a quality product.

Works well, even looks good.
Works well. I bought another, cheaper transmitter, but it had connection and volume problems, so I spent a bit more for this one. No problems yet.

Great device!
My sister has poor hearing so I got her a pair of Grado Bluetooth headphones to pair with her Sony TV. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth on Sony TVs isn’t very good, despite the expensive price tag. It dropped the connection often and pairing was hit and miss. I hooked this to the TV via the optical connection. It worked perfectly and the headphones always pair to this device with no problem at all so far. Also it allows more than one connection so you can still run her Bose TV speaker system and she can listen to her WiFi headphones at the same time. (The TV wouldn’t do that)

Absolutely The Best
I have 2 Avantree inexpensive transmitters with headphones. They worked fine but were a real pain to connect. I would charge the headphones but they didn't last an hour. I decided to spend the money and purchase this one. I would give it 10 stars if it were possible. Setup was a breeze. I am using Apple Airpods and it connected perfectly after I did what Avantree said to do to get them to connect. I use this to listen to the TV when I am lying down. Several times last night I removed the Airpods then went back to them and they connected immediately. It remote volume control works perfectly. I guess you get what you paid for and these are worth every dollar.

Doesn't always connect automatically
We bought this device to use a Bluetooth headphones with our existing TV. We had a cheaper device for this prior, but that often required re-pairing.This one does not require re-pairing, but I'm going to subtract one start because connecting isn't always as smooth as expected from a device in this price range. But it's nothing that a press on the button on the headphones doesn't fix most of the times. Or on the device itself, in a more severe case.In case you're wondering, like I was before purchasing: The sound output on the optical output is not interrupted after headphones are connected. This would have been an nice feature, eliminating the need to mute the TV after putting on headphones.
