Gioteck EX03 Bluetooth Headset (PS3)

***Jan 2015 update: Still got it, it's still going strong and I still love it*** I've been using the EX-03 with my PS3 for over a month now (***over three years now!***). It's a great headset. Setup is child's play, using it is even easier. The instructions are really straightforward. Almost every function has a unique accompanying beep, from on/off to mute, volume and even low power. They are unobtrusive for the most part but the mute beep goes off every 5 seconds or so and it cancels any other ear output, so if a team mate is talking you may miss a word or two if your mic is muted. The low power beep kicks in when there's just a few minutes of charge left. The design is sleek and comfortable but it is right-ear only, unlike previous EX headsets. It's one of those headsets that you almost forget you're wearing. You get a good few hours play from a single charge and the mic is nice and clear. You will need to set the microphone volume to 4 or 5 in the PS3's 'audio device settings' menu to make sure you are heard, it's a bit quiet on the default level of 3 (most likely due to the 'noise cancelling' which should dull sounds that are further away from the mic) Good value for the price, so it's a big 5 stars from me.

I just recently got this item and was very exited to open it and use it, as I opened it I was a little bit surprised that the item was pretty small and started worrying that the mic wouldn't be able to hear me. So I got home and connected it, this was very easy thanks to the step by step instructions on the guide. Now, my first problem was that the ear loop is too big for my ears (I have very small ears) and it can't be adjusted to the right size, however, this wasnt a big problem as the buds helped keep it in and the loop made it a little but more stable. Now this isn't a big problem so I'm not going to take a hole star off. The second problem is the mic can't be adjusted to a different position even though it says it can, no problem what so ever because the mic can hear me fine, its not quite or too loud. This was no problem to me but for others it might be, I am not going to take a star because of this, just to let others know. My third problem is when I go into the accessories settings where you can set the volume to 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, you can also hear your self as a tester, well as I could hear myself I could hear a lot of other noises, not background noises as it was silent in my house, it was like a mini fan was inside the earpeice, this affects my speech but not that much, just a bit annoying to my friends, so because of this I'm not going to take a whole star away. Now, the good thing was the speaker is incedivle for such a small thing, I could hear them like crystal! Also the mic can hear you from quite a distance which is great so you don't have to put it right by your mouth, in fact you could have it half way up your face and it could still hear you! OK, my review sounds like I'm saying this item is really bad, but I must say, for £10 this is WAY more than what you pay for. This item is amazing and I highly suggest you buy it, just be careful if your picky and want a earpeice that's perfect in every way possible :) Also another great thing is they give you a 1 year warranty!!! Which is awesome!! I will update this later on in its life :)

bought this headset due to previous headsets being made by the same brand, was very surprised with the quality and durability of the product, very clear audio while gaming. Easy to set up and use and the side volume buttons are a nice touch.

Not a bad little headset, does the job. But sadly has a tendency of needing to pair again.

Dreadful. Connects to my ps3 but no sound comes through nor can you speak to anyone else. Sucks mostly because I was on holiday while I ordered so didn't use it for over a month therefore can't return it. Waste of a tenner.

+This head set is fine for listening to other players, the earphone element works fine and is comfortable in ear. +Super easy to pair with the PS3. Battery life is reasonable and the recharge time is relatively short. The headset works whilst it is charging too, the cable isn't particularly long so you might need an USB extension cable if you playing and it's charging -The biggest let down is that the microphone is low quality. - Feedback from other players and friends indicates that it is very muffled - I also seems to transmit some sort of digital noise a lot of the time, this can be observed in game lobbies when I am not speaking. A friend uses the Giotech EX01 and the quality on that is just as bad if not a little worse. I find it difficult to make out what he is saying a lot of the time. I would not recommend this to any player who relies heavy on voice chat or communication in games.

amazing little headset very comfortable clear sound and a surprisingly long battery life all in all very good and you cant go wrong for the money so easy to set up and after a 30 min charge i connected and was playing within 5 mins over all if i was you id buy it

I play a lot of BF3 and Fifa with friends on the PS3, but only recently started playing it quite seriously online. I know a few people with quite heavy duty headsets with great audio etc (Turtle), but I wasn't willing to pay the £65+ for those. I ordered this to 'try' as it was only £10 and for that price I wasn't too concerned at the quality; but I was shocked by what I received. - The sound quality is fine. It isnt really good but its not bad at all. Remember the only thing coming through this is voice comms so your TV will still be the main audio output for the game. - My broadcast voice i'm told by others is crystal clear, which is what really matters. - Adjustable boom is very nice and stays where you put it. - Setup is very easy, and comes with a step-by-step guide. - Battery life is around 5 hours from experience when used non-stop, but the charge is only around an hour. My only very slight draw back is the ear piece is not adjustable, so every now and then you have to rotate the headset to make sure its fitting snuggly; its a very minor issue though. For just over a tenner, you can't go wrong here.

I love it's sound quality and the noise canceling mic works great!! i recomend every one to buy this product!

Articulo de precio muy asequible, parece pequeño pero el tamaño es mas que suficiente. Viene con las instrucciones necesarias para conectarlo a tu PS3 y la bateria dura bastante.

Ho acquistato il prodotto ed è arrivato in pochi giorni. Provandolo su PS3 è assolutamente perfetto, la chat vocale si sente solo da auricolare e non dall'altoparlante della tv dove si sentono solo gli effetti speciali e la colonna sonora del videogioco. L'ho provato anche sul telefono e si può utilizzare solamente per sentire la suoneria e rispondere ad una chiamata, non si può utilizzare come una normale cuffia, in quanto non si può sentire della musica... Raccomandato!! ;-D
