Does this peeler still work for left handed people?

I have one of these I bought in a small kitchen shop in Gatlinburg, TN several years ago and have loved it! I always wish I had bought more. I just looked online and found them here. I’m so excited to find them! I think everyone needs this. It peels unlike anything I’ve ever used. So easy and it saves the flesh of whatever you’re peeling. Only takes off the peeling! I LOVE Mine! I recommend it to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are left or right handed!

The one I received separates top from bottom very easily. Is that a defect?

The plastic cover should come off easily, but the rest of the unit should not separate.

Is the finger hold a pretty good size? Is it tiny?

I have fat fingers so I will say that it has good size. Just be careful, the blade is sharp. I love it. I can now peel a mango in record time.

Can this be washed properly without a dishwasher?

I wash this either in the sink with soapy water along with hand dishes or just rub it with some dish soap in my hand until thoroughly cleaned. I shake it off well and allow it to air dry. You could also use a food safe disinfecting spray or hydrogen peroxide to disinfect if you're really concerned. I've been using this veggie brush for months now and I've had no issues with illness in our household of ten.
