I rarely ever dropped it so it's just from every day use the case ended up turning white. If you want sleek black forever this isn't the case also, this is the first case I had for the phone and once I took the case off there were nicks and dings on the phone, so i think particles got in and scratched phone. It's simple material and gets the job done. My only gripe would be the headphone cutout. My headphones come with many different cords and Jack lengths, so for me to use the cords with a mic built in I have to take off the case. Still, not a major complaint.
