Rit Dye More Synthetic 7oz-Graphite

used the product in boiling water to stain water bottles and it worked great, very effective and very ease to use for someone who had never dyed anything before. It came out with slight discoloration because of the original color of the water bottle but that can be avoided by using only on white clothing/items. I have been using that water bottle regularly for a few months and there is been no fading. (the original color of the water bottle was a light purple hence the slight purple hue)

This stuff really works! I dyed a previously white 50/50 acrylic and cotton sweater and it turned out a perfect dark grey, with no splotchiness or uneven color. Definitely follow all the instructions to a T, dont skip steps, and it'll turn out great.

I was hesitant to purchase this item due to mixed reviews, but after reading one of the positive reviews that described a successful outcome after carefully following the directions, I decided to give it a try. Worked marvelously! I had found pair of pants at a great discount, but they were a light gray and I required black for my job at the cafe. I was able to get them a deep slate gray. Dark enough to wear for work. Recommendations: Make sure you follow ALL the directions. Wet the fabric thoroughly before dying, use a thermometer, keep stirring, leave in for 60 minutes if you want it darker, rinse with warm water afterwards. Good Luck!

Tried to use off label to dye white midsoles on my sneakers. Not black enough and uneven. Excellent product from a company that's been around for YEARS.

I love this die for dying synthetic material like polyester or mixed blends. It works great when you follow the instructions and I have no complaints.

I needed to freshen an ombre effect on my sheer curtains. This worked fine, but you have to use very hot water and keep it hot. I am only giving it a three because I could not stand the smell. It made me dizzy.

Brought the color back to life in my faded pants. The ease of use and value for money has convinced me to continue to buy RIT Dye. The quality and functionality is top notch.

Habe es gekauft um den 100% Polyesterteil eines Kleides umzufärben. Da ich keine Waschmaschine habe, habe ich es manuell im Topf auf dem Herd gefärbt. Das hat wunderbar geklappt und die Farbe wurde gut aufgenommen und sah aus wie erwartet. Ich wollte jedoch eigentlich Flecken eines vorherigen Färbeversuchs überdecken, der leider nicht geklappt hat und das hat nicht funtioniert. Diese sind nach wie vor zu sehen, nur nun etwas grauer. ;P Aber als Erstanwendung kann ich es empfehlen, denn es macht was es soll und die Farbe stimmt mit der Angabe überein. Wie weit man mit der Zeit die Intensität variieren kann weiß ich nicht, denn es schien die Farbe sofort anzunehmen und ich wollte es ja dunkler und habe daher die angegebene Zeit eingehalten. Da es auch kaum Alternativen gibt, wenn es um Kunststofffärberei geht, kann ich nur sagen, dass das zukünftig das Mittel meiner Wahl sein wird.

This dye works really well on synthetic fabrics - it actually dyed the synthetic items black and the cotton items grey. I got it to dye some clothes for my horror dolls and it didn't disappoint. Even the clothes that dyed up grey, did so to great effect in relation to what I wanted them for. I also used the Rit Fixative, which I would personally recommend you purchase when getting this dye. I managed to dye around 20 small items (Doll clothes) with this dye, in one use and I used it on the hob to get the results that I did. I would recommend this dye for synthetic fabrics and I think it represents good value for money. My items look great and it was easy to use. I will say that I had a got of a funny taste in my mouth all day after using it - almost like when I'm in the presence of old style printing inks, but I didn't particularly notice any smell whilst using it.

Acabei de comprar para mudar a cor de um canivete. Funciona muito bem, a cor ficou perfeita. Mas ficou na cor preta, que era oque eu queria. O canivete era um kabar dozier, era rosa e pintei de preto usando esse produto. Apesar de ser para tecido, funciona muito bem em zytel, frn e g10. Mas tem que ser a versão sintética.

Hello. My Google search was to dye synthetic hair. I was guided to this product as its mainly used for synthetic fabrics, within the content of the article, I saw that it COULD be used for synthetic hair. I also found a tutorial on how to best dye and rinse. It was fabulous. I DO think however, that I will dye it again to get the brassy tones out of the hair. (I wanted a slate gray and used the "graphite") - I will rinse it using silver shampoo. The wig was ambre, a strawberry blonde on top and black at the bottom. It yielded a beautiful gray.
