Great price and works very well. Much longer range than my pc internal bluetooth device. My came with the cd driver software which is important if you want to a 5.1 device and not a 5.0. Make sure you got the cd driver with the device.

I bought this adapter to connect some bluetooth earbuds with aptx adaptive support to my PS5. Upon first trying to plug it in, there is already cause for concern because it requires quite a bit of force to fit into the port. I had to hold the back of my PS5 and press hard on the adapter to fully seat it into the port. Following this, it goes into pairing mode with the red/blue lights flashing right away just as the instructions indicate. However, despite it being in pairing mode, it was a bit of a struggle to finally connect my earbuds. I had to first put my buds into pairing mode and then press the side button on the adapter for a couple seconds. No idea why... but that worked. At this point, it actually seemed solid. The side button swapped between codecs just as it was supposed to and I could clearly hear the differences in latency, so it seemed to be functioning correctly. Even volume was good. However... once I turned the PS5 off or put it into rest mode (with any option for USB powering within rest mode by the way. I tested all options out of curiosity) and then turned it back on next time - that is when the major issues began. My earbuds do automatically connect, which is good at least, but for some reason, the adapter defaults into a setting that eppfun calls "duplex mode" which I could see from the light slowly flashing blue. In this mode, audio quality drops drastically. It is a bit staticy and underwater sounding, and drops in and out. It almost sounds windy, too. It's pretty incredibly bad and not really listenable in this state. I don't know why it sounds this way as it seems like duplex mode is just meant for using a 2nd headset? I could be wrong about its purpose. Anyway, that's obviously bad, but fortunately, the instructions say that double tapping the side button enters/exits duplex mode. So, that's good you can exit the mode, but even if this was the only issue with the adapter, that would still be pretty annoying to always have to go double click it in order to make it work properly. Sadly, that is not the only problem anyway, though. The next one is arguably worse. Once you exit duplex mode in this scenario, it just breaks it all entirely. Out of my many tests, only 1 time did my earbuds remain connected after exiting duplex mode. Every other time, all sound stopped playing immediately after exiting it. I would then need to make the adapter forget all devices and start from scratch re-pairing my earbuds to it, struggle and all. It's possible the adapter works better on PC, but I didn't do any testing there. If I could have just gotten it to default to its last used mode, which was either aptx adaptive or regular aptx, then it probably would have worked great. I think it may be doing something weird where it is recognizing the connection as a new device even though it is the same one as before, but because of that, it thinks 2 devices are connected at once (the same device, twice) and enters duplex mode. I still don't know why duplex mode would just destroy the audio, though. Unfortunately, for these reasons, the product is virtually useless.

Purchased to extend the range of Xbox controller which is connected to a gaming PC in the living room due to internal PC computer keeps disconnecting. This thing has not only fixed range issue but also no more disconnects.

I brought this to connect my Bluetooth headphones and earbuds to my ps5..the lights on the dongle to indicate it’s in pairing mode are really small and hard to see..once I got my headphones connected it has worked fine..glad I got it

Dear Lord, it took me several hours to bring it up running under Windows 11. Deactivate your internal Bluetooth hardware first. Install all the driver from the additional CD, restart Windows, cross your fingers and do it all again and again and again... What a waste of lifetime :-( But in the end, suddenly it works! And much better than my internal components before, which was the main reason for me to buy this device here.

Was really looking forward to this product. One thing that was important is it said it worked for ps5. I hooked it up nothing happened. Maybe they should set up a YouTube tutorial or something.

Funktioniert sehr gut. Habe den Adapter meinem Freund zu seinen Kopfhörern für die PS5 geschenkt. Mussten uns bzgl der Einstellung zwar ein kurzes Youtube Video anschauen, aber seitdem funktioniert alles super. Klare Empfehlung!

Perfect. Literal plug in and picked up my ROG Cetra true wireless earbuds straight away. Auto changed to the device on PS5 as output. Havnt tested for voice chat as not why I purchased. If your earbuds have a gaming mode. Enable it to kill any lag. Really good option to save the excessive price of the paywalled option of Sony Pulse.
