That said, my kid loves pink, and put it on a shelf near a window. Our smaller (10 lbs) cat now likes to sit on it, lean over and bat at the poms or scratch a post, or sprawl halfway on it and bat at her brother. It keeps the cats and the kid entertained, so it works for us. It does not work at all for our larger tomcat, other than he likes to pounce back at his sister (the smaller, more lithe cat). The whole thing is light and slides off chairs and shelves, but so far it hasn’t broken.
